I highly doubt it. I imagine they'll use the international feed for the ones they aren't doing themselves.
There was already a thread on this.

Only during the distance events.

No god awful English announcers. Ato Bolden will do.

Where have you been since ever? NBC exclusives are the death of track.
This is terrible, because they are only going to focus on american athletes like most of their T & F coverage. I'll just wait for the british to upload their coverage on youtube.
Only person the british are really homers about is Mo, and that is because he is the champ. The British love great runners, regardless of what their nationalities are.
If an american is not in the race, NBC is not going to show that race, unless a big, big name runner is going to be running in the race: Mo, Usain, etc.
Oh my god if they ruin coverage of these meets with their usual shitty production and Hammonds/Bolden/Johnson calling it, I will be in utter despair. Just pipe in that British feed that Bein Sports used and STFU NBC.

You won't have to be universal sports, sling tv or flotrack to watch the Diamond League in 2017, 2018 and 2019!!
We've long thought the only way the sport can grow is if it's on tv.
I feel like I've read about 100 posts saying that the only way the sport can grow is if people are willing to pay your advertiser to watch.
^^^ 100 dumb posts. Who pays advertisers to watch road races? Who shows them on TV? But they're a mega business.
The key is participation. Regular people are living in the Jim Fixx past where distance running is healthy. But they have no choice because track is owned by the school system, after which it's impossible to learn to run fast, and there's nobody motivating them to try anyhow. If they go to a track they just jog around it. It's pathetic.

I was fearful it would go to flotrack.
I wish FloTrack would've gotten it. This forum's users have an average salary of $350,000 but everyone is a penny pincher.
As long as they keep the sidebar interviews I'm o.k. with it. I love meeting the puppies, grandmas, gay partners, etc. of elite athletes.

Will they show the winner walking around after crossing the finish line rather than show the battles for 2nd through say 6th place?
Will coverage have "artistic angles" shot from a camera sitting on the track on the last turn showing nothing more than the athletes legs giving us no idea who just ran past the camera?
Will they interrupt the distance events with highlights from field event performances recorded earlier?
Do fans of mid and long distance events care enough about shot put, discuss, and high jump to have performances recorded earlier interrupt the live coverage of the 3000, 5000, and 10000 meter events?
It is the commercials and field event highlights in the middle of a distance event that ruins my enjoyment of coverage more than anything else.
EXACTLY!!!!!!!
If anybody has the email of these clowns that have been ruining track and field the last few years, tell them to watch the coverage NEW BALANCE had of their national indoor high school meet on the internet. It was FANTASTIC. (except they did keep the camera on the winner while the other runners were crossing the finish line)
Of course we all know the problem is money and the producers are too stupid to figure out ad placement so a whole distance race can be run uninterrupted.
ESPN just stopped a basketball game right in the middle of a play the other night as soon as the clock hit 3:59. (Under 4 timeout) so they could run a bunch of commercials. They don't even care enough about the game to wait for a normal stoppage of play. Just like NBC doesn't give a crap about track, only making money off of it.
So really the only benefit is that blofrack didn't buy the rights and hold the meets hostage so virtually nobody would watch.

What, you don't find it simply adorable when Brenda Martinez's name is mispronounced as Brender MAH-tinez? Only in England are Rs added where they don't exist and omitted from where they do.

I correct myself; those in the New England states also have this miserable flaw.
I'd give NBC more credit. Just look at what they did with the Premier League. They didn't go the route of FOX and try and get American announcers, they don't mess with the matches in anyway, and they don't screw around with dumb "American-ized" storylines. They're brilliant. The show the match, they use top notch commentators, and they have highlight shows.
