They are all FOS.
They are all FOS.
And what's she going to get, a 2-year ban? She'll be back by Tokyo.
Thank God Paula was clean. Of course, she had the natural advantage that comes with growing up at sea level.
What was she on? Why, her feet, of course. And who was her shoe sponsor? Oh, umm, never mind...
I remember Ben Johnson and his coach doing the exact same thing in 1988 after the Olympics.
They went on national television shows, including Nightline, and lied in front of a national audience looking straight into everybody'[s face (via the camera), and without the slightest hesitation or flinch, LYING THROUGH THEIR LIAR TEETH.
This is the way many people are. They can do this. Others of us have a sense of conscience
two more and Flanagan medals !!!
F this sport (just the professional side)
Rosa has been guilty for years. Years, and years and years. He and his son have been the fire behind all the smoke since the 1990's. Why is this hard to understand.
The woman's winner of Prague? doped to the gills. Seriously, seriously doped. A Flojo record. And its all big time lies.
Rojo, you got played by the niceness, and the liars ability to believe their own lie enough to sell it to everyone else without a moment's hesitation. It doesn't surprise me that Sumgong tested positive, just that she was found out before Mazunak, her being coached by a total drug cheat herself. I found her run even more unbelievable than Sumgong's.
In fact, I find it more unbelievable that the result got publicized, given the IAAF's hiding of positives concerning their money making stars. Letting a high profile gold medalist get caught is clearly not their usual MO.
After 39 years of being a runner, and following world class running since I was a 12 year old kid, I find myself hating this sport sometimes.
Is it terrible that I now have doubts about some of our top women? All these women are doping but ours aren't? This thought has not crossed my mind until today.
So they lied to your face? What makes you so special. All lies are told to someone. Did you think you were special? If so, likely your parents lied to your face. :-)
And the first side effect of Ped taking is the inability to tell the truth.
Cheating and lying go together. Like rice pudding and whipped cream.
F this sport (professional division)
No issues. I'm sure Rekrunner will be along soon to explain how it doesn't work.
Perhaps. I mean I did think about 10 years ago. Cycling = Doping and lots of that comes from Italy right? Rosas = Italian doctors, could all the Kenyans be dirty.
And I hate to say it but this makes me now question my #1 most favorite athlete in track - Asbel Kiprop as isn't he with Rosa as well. And then if we are going to question that, then we might as well question Tergat and hell if he was doped then why wouldn't the one guy who could beat him - Haile G also be doped?
I'm going to quit being a fan.
By similar logic, I guess I need to start questioning Centro jr. I mean if I'm suspicious as hell about Rupp and Centro's in the group.....
Much more fun watching the kids.
I'm sure Kipchoge is clean though....
Competitor.com:
"Despite his insistence that he had no knowledge of or involvement with Jeptoo’s performance-enhancing drug use, Federico Rosa’s reputation has been surrounded by a cloud of controversy in recent years. In 2012, another of his athletes, Mathew Kisorio tested positive for steroids [Kisorio has stated that neither Rosa nor Berardelli has anything to do with his failed drug test], and Jemima Sumgong, Jeptoo’s training partner who was second at Sunday’s New York City Marathon, failed a drug test following the Boston Marathon in 2012 for prednisolone and was given a two-year ban by Athletics Kenya. That decision was later reversed, as the localized injection for bursitis was permissible under IAAF anti-doping rules."
Jeptoo's training partner
wow, big news indeed
Agree that's it's more surprising that it's been announced rather than that it's actually happened.
It would be remiss of me not to mention she's only a 2:20 marathoner.
EPO cheats out huh?
In 2007, she ran 2:29.
Four years later her pr dropped to 2:28.
Two years on, in 2013, she ran 2:20.
She ran pr's of 10k, 15k, 20k, and half marathon in Dubai this year (1:06ish).
Olympic marathon champ in Rio after 4th in Beijing in 2015.
Her agent? Wait for the big surprise and shock: Federico Rosa.

A little diversion, perhaps? Something to take everyone's minds off the Jamaican clenbuterol results. The puppet masters are up to their old tricks. Don't look at the man behind the curtain!

I have no idea, but take a look at the corruption index. The nations that are judged corrupt have a lot of dopers. On the map, any country that is red or orange will have a lot of dopers. Any country that is yellow won't. It's a small group of nations that are yellow, but we're hanging in there.
I think this counts only for distance runners...sprinters are all dirty.
http://www.transparency.org/news/feature/corruption_perceptions_index_2016She is scheduled to run the London Marathon on April 23rd, I wonder if she will be able to run?, claiming the B sample has to come up positive to be banned? Maybe get 1 last payday in London before the 2-4 year ban
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
