The man is a social media genius. He has 307,000 followers! But curiously, his picture touting his grand finish (in the parking lot of a strip mall) only got 280 likes. I wonder why.
Also, he follows 280,000 people, at a rate of 250/day (which is just below the rate that twitter will flag you for being a spammer).
No wonder he was able to raise $5800 for his endeavour--he clearly is a master strategist and brand marketer.
You people questioning his 4:20 mile are clearly unaware of how fast big guys run short distances. NFL linebackers (300+ pounds) run 40 yards in less than 5 seconds. It only takes 44 40-yard sprints to make a mile, which is 220 seconds, or 3:40.
So a 4:20 mile is totally reasonable.

Kinda slow actually.

If you think a 300lb linebacker could run a 4,20 mile - clearly you have never run one yourself.

#facepalm
"Training
Six months to a year from the run: “I did a lot of cross-training early on, where I did weight training. What I would do is [take] a low weight and [do] an insane amount of high reps. So I might pick up a 20-pound dumbbell and just do 200 reps—just keep going and going and going to simulate that endurance and what the muscles need.â€
Three months from the run: “I couldn’t do anymore [weight/cross-training], because I had to increase my running and running distance. And when it got to any day where I was doing over 20 miles a day, I couldn’t lift or do anything else. That was it.â€
Milestones:
(1) 40 straight days of 20 miles
(2) 30-50 miles every other day for a month; the idea here was to eclipse the 26.2-mile distance of a marathon and thereby make the physical ordeal routine"
Right. Just because.
OMFG, MapMyRun actually believes this fat scammer. It's hilarious to read:
http://blog.mapmyrun.com/guy-just-ran-100-marathons-100-days/Q: Have you lost a ton of weight?
Kelly: The weight is dropping off now. This week, I really focused hard on not losing weight while running — and thanks to pizza and chocolate chip pancakes, I kept the weight on. But I do keep eating healthier and healthier as I go, so weight is dropping a little bit.
Where is rojo to offer this guy some cash if he can do 5 marathons in 5 straight days each in under 5 hours?

sure as heII ain't clicking that link.
The last thing I want to see are that guys toenails.
🤢
Everybody relax. I'm sure there is a reasonable explanation of why this giant person is able to run longer than anyone else on earth. Seems perfectly reasonable to me.
I seriously cannot believe this guy could run A SINGLE 4:18 marathon, yet as stated in his MapMyRun interview that he average 4:18 for his first 42 marathons in a row. Get outta here man, also there is NO way this guy EVER ran a low 3 hour marathon.
Amazing this thread hasn't blown up more. People flamed Mike Rossi and he didn't even benefit for his feat. THIS liar has made money and went to numerous news agencies claming all these stupid feats.
This guy literally lied about EVERYTHING he has said.
He did NOT:
Run 100 marathons
Run 3:05 marathon
Run a 4:20 mile
Run 100 miles as his finishing run
He also did not do his first 42 marathons at 4:18 pace.
That Marahton Investigator guy majorly needs to call this guy out.
So this guy is 280 lbs and 6'8? Seems like he is even lieing about his height.

I'm hoping he is already working on it. Can't wait for this fraud to get exposed.
He actually paces the Cleveland Marathon every year I think anywhere from 3:40-4:00. If you go to their pace team Facebook page there is a lot of posts about him.
Is there any actual evidence of him running? Or is it just his word?

Ah, you sure you Moran? He walked a 5:21 pace 2017 and there is no record of him being there in 2016 or 2015. Are you a paid shill for the fat scammer?:
http://www.runrocknroll.com/finisher-zone/search-and-results/?resultpage=1&eventid=41&subevent_id=1&bib=8189His resting heart rate may be 100. That's about it.
Ok take it easy he is just listed on their Facebook page several times. A picture of him as the 3:35 pacer last year. Just thought I would share what I find too psycho
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
