Have you ever posted something on a message board only to regret it later when it was discovered who you were or for some other reason?

Simple rule keeps you out of all kinds of trouble. Have some integrity and sign your name. About the worst that anyone can do is disagree with you.
All the best,
Giles
then everybody knows you're just another snobby brit!
I regret every post I put up. I just cant seem to quit hanging out with you idiots.
The one about the number of guys that broke 15 min for a Toronto 5k back in the 90's.
yeah but wrote:

My point precisely.
I don't know if I regret posting too many things, but I regret reading a few posts.

I was the one who tore you up for that! Wow, small world, eh?
I change my username every few months, though I like this one.
I have only regretted it when I have used my real name. I'll post under my real name when I think it's relevant, but it just gives people the license to be bigger ass holes.
that was a topic here?! what was the number you tossed out there? i don't even know what post you're talking about, but i do know this:in the summer of '93, i was fat, out of shape and on vacation in toronto with my ex. there was a wednesday race in july called "a midsummer night's 5k." i entered it on a lark. it was a downhill course that began somehwere downtown near the big running store (the running room maybe?), and finished down near the water. i went out way too hard for the shape i was in....maybe 5:05-5:10...and just completely crumbled. staggered in in about 17:30. i remember feeling humiliated in the final kilo when an old guy (who turned out to be ed whitlock) and a 17 year old girl went flying past me side by side.i was so disgusted, i left the chute and jogged it right back up to the starting line where, to my luck, there were a half-dozen massage tables set up for the runners...first come, first serve. i jumped on the first table next to a guy from new zealand who said he had come in FIFTH place running 13:52! i know that sounds like bullshit, but that is the truth, and it was in the results, which got posted on the wall outside the store some time later. i am not vouching for the accuracy of the course, and it was down hill for sure, but that was the guy's time and place. i'm sorry i can't remember his name all these years later. he was i nice guy anyway. so anyway mr. 2:18, i don't know how many guys you said broke 15 at a 5k in toronto, but i know that every time i tell people that 5 people broke 14 at a 5k in toronto, they allways tell me i am full of shit. sounds like we could be talking about the same race?

I posted a message about how I heard a Colorado high school boy, John McGuire (4th at 2005 FL Nationals) had been offered a full scholarship at Stanford. I actually had heard that from my coach, who was apparently wrong, because everyone mocked me on the message board. Apparently Stanford doesn't give full rides for freshman, even of his calibur.
they ripped on you cause the 2005 FL is still months away
That's the race I was at. Thank you for posting. I remember so many runners that ran that course and all these fit people. I was amazed. So many people breaking 14:oo then so many people breaking 15:00. and the number of old ladies breaking 30:00. Not a bunch of lets go for a walk-a-thon group. Must of the people ran back to Start area since it was not an out and back course. I was there with Peter Maher who convinced me this would be an unblievable race. I still have the t-shirt and the girl I brought up to Canada to witness this event.
Hmm, I'll ask around about the race, it sounds like quite the event. We do have a fast downhill 10k, where the winner got under 28 last year.

Would you know of the agent for these kenyans? Looks like some of Tim's guys.
you are a stupid high school kid. hes not even that good. Last years senior class had 15 guys better than him. Hell be lucky to get 15% at Stanford. its been said Withrow and Wagner didnt get more than a quarter at Wisc
so who flamed you for saying that a lot of people broke 15? anyway, i think i might have the year wrong...i believe it was '92...i was on the west coast in 93. but i still have the race number in a closet here...i think i might dig it out after work tonight and see exactly when that race was.

You will regret this post too because it has just proven you a Liar.
I Don't post no more means I DON'T POST EVER.

Who's Tim?
I've never heard of the winner, but Nderitu, Gitau, Kamau and Bennacer are regulars on the southern Ontario roadracing circuit. Bennacer is a 2:10 marathoner, if I remember correctly.
Danny Kassap would go on to run 2:14 last September (this 10k was in May). Andrew Smith was something like 10th at WXC.
say what, it was me and a couple of others who blasted him for suggesting that 100 people broke 15. I still doubt that 100 people BROKE 15, they might have run 15:xx.
