Yesterday I was driving home from work. I was a safe distance behind the vehicle in front of me. That vehicle drove over a scrap piece of plywood. The plywood didn't fall from that vehicle, but the act of driving over it flipped it up, it came right into the front grille of my car and stuck there. I pulled to the side, it fell off, I drove away.
Got home and the bottom edge of the plastic/bumper thingy is cracked.
Here's the question -- is this a collision or a comp claim? I'm finding conflicting information.
A collision claim puts me at fault and my rates get jacked (I haven't had an accident in nearly 20 years). I could probably GLUE the front panel back together. Car is a 2009 Toyota Matrix.
Comp claim does not show up as my fault.
Which is it? I trust letsrun to get this right.
