sorry for being cynical, but how many times do we need to go through this to learn our lesson? it's a very low-odds game for young high school female star runners to have a long arc career
everyone has expectations and pushed them too much. think, "where could she be when she's 24 years old, and maybe it's a different game. but that's so far for her, maybe she doesn't like running after a while. just a kiddo
even if she runs this exact time for the next 4 years, she will still be a national championship contender and sought after by every college in the country. I don't think anyone is projecting professional stardom for her at this point, we are just pointing out that 10:11 is a damn quick time for any high schooler, especially a freshman.
