It sounds like she's trying to reach out to you, and she doesn't know how to do that well. (It's possible even that she thinks it's cool that you are a distance runner and can run the 1600/3200 fast. If she's a thrower, then she may be too slow to consider this.) Be nice to her as you should with any teammate. If she's trying too hard or interrupting your workout, then kindly explain to her that you are trying to focus on your workout or race and that you get distracted easily. If you see her after, thank her for cheering you on and leave it at that.
