And start to build some muscle. Wouldn't that be more useful and time-effort effective.
Just thinking about that

Just do what makes you happy. That's it ...
Leave humanity behind
you will get fat and die of heart disease by age 35 if you stop running
I stopped and have put on about 30 lbs from lifting, much less stressful than running, at least for me it is
I stopped running for 2 years and put on 30 lbs of muscle lifting. Taking those 2 years off was essential to get me out of the mindset of being a competitive runner and now being more casual. I am back to running 60 mpw but can't seem to lose the final 10-15 lbs to race competitively. I run now because I like being outside and the meditative aspects of running. I also find running much easier mentally for me than lifting. Perhaps because I was a college runner and the daily grind is second nature to me.
I runned everyda y for 2 year and did 1:18 in half marathen. I got angry and quit running and now lift, I gain 35+ lbs and bench 250+ now. I do miss a runn though.
I've quit multiple times. The grass isn't greener, you just get fatter and slower.
