Tennis is another one of those sports where humans are better than all the animals. No animal would stand a chance against even an average human player.
As opposed to running, where there are many animals that would easily destroy all the humans. Arguably the average human could be better than the average animal, at least a few decades ago before mass obesity hit.
Not sure about this. Given their arm length and strength with correct training a silverback gorilla would be able to just serve out destroyer serves that no tennis player could return. We are talking about serves of 500 mph plus in speed if you look at the strength difference between gorillas and humans.
The only problem the gorilla would have is that rackets and tennis balls would have to be redesigned completely in order to withstand the sheer power forces that the gorilla would be exerting on them. With equipment in use today you would be seeing a lot of burst tennis balls and rackets with their strings blown out if a trained gorilla was ever to play a competitive tennis match and i am not sure if the rules allow a player to have an infinite supply of tennis rackets.
