D3 s**t?
Let's talk about D1 s**t. Like those 50 programs all around the country who are nominally D1 but have very few athletes who can break 26 minutes in the 8k or 15 minutes on the track, place dead last at every real meet, and can barely finish 10ks.
They get scholarships, resources, and yet would get trounced by good D3 teams like North Central, Geneseo, UW Eau Claire, St. Olaf, etc.
12 minute steeples? Really?
D3 s**t must mean somebody like Ian LaMere who has run 28:38 for 10k and would easily be All-American at the D1 level despite having no resources or teammates to train with. Or how about St. Olaf, who has had 3 or 4 four-minute milers the past couple years?
