Yes.
Whether it was due to the whole foods or the weight loss from eating healthier in general is as debatable as it is moot.
Healthy eating = Good.

I'm 42 eat low calorie but eat anything everything.. still Lean 19bmi
Still fast sort of 16 flat 5k... 2:35 marathon... I drink to much... rarely sleep... I don't think it matters that much. Calories in out pretty much impacts my performance the most.
