As much as I hate Trump, I don't want to see an ex-POTUS in prison. If convicted, the worst he'll receive is a suspended sentence and fines.
A felony conviction won't disqualify him from running in 2024, but one of those GPS boots will hinder his campaign.

He should be treated like any other criminal defendant, no better nor no worse than "regular" people.
In the meantime, this guy should have been locked up.

He's not regular people and he's in a group comprised of only 46 people in our country's history. Putting an ex-POTUS in prison would make the U.S. look like a banana republic. It would also be extremely devisive.

So you deny the equality under the law? Now that sounds like a banana republic.
Sarkozy will be going to prison if his appeal fails. Does that make France a banana republic?
Bibi could be going to prison if all the allegations (or even some of them) against him are proved in the court. Will that make Israel a banana republic?
Kakuei Tanaka would have served time in prison if he had not died while appealing his sentence. So Japan is a banana republic?
South Korea has four former presidents sent to prison and another commit suicide after indictment in the last four decades. (And there is a good chance Moon Jae In is heading there.) Is South Korea the ultimate banana republic?

Technical point: While there are generally said to have been 46 presidencies in our country's history, only 45 people are involved.
Grover Cleveland had the 22nd and 24th presidencies.

Very, VERY strongly disagree.
EVERYONE is equal under the law. This is one of the pillars of our society and sets us apart from banana republics.
If Joe Blow would walk free for exact same charges then Trump should walk free.
If Joe Blow would get fines and probation then so should Trump.
And if Joe Blow would do hard time then Trump should as well.

I thought you were anti-Biden? Suddenly you are a Biden supporter?!? WTF?
After only a month, Trump's blog has bitten the dust:

I made this comment before, but his base is like when he used to license his name to condominium towers. His name is on it, but he neither owns or manages it.
He has some rallys coming up, but it will be the same nonsense and will be less effective since he is no longer POTUS or campaigning to return to office.

Very admirable of you. You are an exception. The rest of the Libs here have such hatred for Trump that they want to see him rot in hell, or the equivalent here - Sing Sing. They don't care what it makes the US look like. They are single-minded in purpose - make Trump suffer as much as possible.
