Nice list, Dan. I would say one thing about 10 and the Democrat-controlled Senate. I think it is likely that there won't be 67 votes to convict so the history books will show him being acquitted by a Democrat-controlled Senate.

I mean come on.
Sally isn't interested in that kind of inteligent posting.
Are you, Sallster?
There is a lot of low IQ in there. He tried a hard pivot with this one, but I'm not buying it. He will reveal himself more over time.
His popularity is dwindling.

There are there mass posters who seem to the the same person trolling. Calamity Joe is the other one. Trolls create different avatars of themselves to disagree with themselves and generate more "hits." Russians have been doing this as cybergames with the U.S. for a very long time.

Sally basically put Flagpole in a mental hospital by staying in character for almost 3 years straight and now it looks like he's pulled off the ultimate troll move by permanently poisoning the well - new posters are automatically suspect whether it's warranted or not.

He has destroyed the Trump brand. He is riding the Titanic down into the abysmal depths.
Oops, spelling gaff: the Trumptanic not Titanic.

This is not the first time a conversion has occurred with Sally. Pre-Trump there was another version, with different concerns, posting other other names.

Geez, what gives with spellcheck on this site? Under has speed changes to other. I obviously typed it wrong and it auto corrected. Does anyone here know if there is a way to turn that "feature" off?

Trump will have to announce his new party very soon if he wants to stop the bleeding. He needs to give his trumpers hope that he'll be back otherwise there will be enough GOP votes to convict.
What do you think the rioters would have done if they actually got to Pence, or Pelosi, or Schumer, or anyone they considered a 'traitor'?
Some of these 'rioters' were clearly only there for the ride, they got swept in with the mob. They strolled around, took selfies, and then got out of there. They didn't plan anything, they just went with the flow, and they didn't have any real evil intent. If the cops hadn't opened the doors and let them in, they would have been content to just hang out in the plaza in front of the Capitol, chant some Trumpy chants, and then go home.
But there were obviously rioters who had a more evil intent, and planned to do harm. They came armed, brought zip ties, they wore body armor. Maybe they had been coordinating with people on the inside ahead of time. Maybe they had toured the building a day earlier, to get the lay of the land.
It's easy to dismiss these people as a bunch of weekend warrior type fools who talk tough on the internet but lack the nerve, or the intent, to really do any harm. But is that true? What would have happened if they got to Pence, or others? Fortunately, we'll never know.

It would have been back to the lynch mob days.

That is the funniest thing posted on this board. Thanks.

Eleventeen.
You go Alabama.
Alabama Sen. Tommy Tuberville has an idea about how to make next week's inauguration as safe as possible: Just move it to a few weeks later!
"We probably could have had a swearing-in and inauguration later after we got this virus behind us a little bit," Tuberville suggested in an interview with a local TV station. "Again, we're talking about Washington, DC."

Agreed one both points.
They found Chris Christie.

Ha! Nope. I am even keel, as cool as a cucumber at all times. That doesn't prohibit me from pointing out stupidity and a$$holeness when I see it, and Sally is both.

Pretty long, but here's a nice essay from the NY Times.
The author (a Yale professor of history) characterizes the Republican party as "gamers" and "breakers".
Right now, the Republican Party is a coalition of two types of people: those who would game the system (most of the politicians, some of the voters) and those who dream of breaking it (a few of the politicians, many of the voters). In January 2021, this was visible as the difference between those Republicans who defended the present system on the grounds that it favored them and those who tried to upend it.
In the four decades since the election of Ronald Reagan, Republicans have overcome the tension between the gamers and the breakers by governing in opposition to government, or by calling elections a revolution (the Tea Party), or by claiming to oppose elites. The breakers, in this arrangement, provide cover for the gamers, putting forth an ideology that distracts from the basic reality that government under Republicans is not made smaller but simply diverted to serve a handful of interests.
At first, Trump seemed like a threat to this balance. His lack of experience in politics and his open racism made him a very uncomfortable figure for the party; his habit of continually telling lies was initially found by prominent Republicans to be uncouth. Yet after he won the presidency, his particular skills as a breaker seemed to create a tremendous opportunity for the gamers. Led by the gamer in chief, McConnell, they secured hundreds of federal judges and tax cuts for the rich.
He goes on to characterize the current break in the party between to "breaker" politicians (Cruz / Hawley) and the gamers in a historical and forward looking context. Long piece, but a lot to think about.

It's true. My brand here has been besmirchalized and diluted something unmerciful by Trollmeister (nee' Poleaxe) with claims that I am some woman named Sally.
