Solid essay on Truman and how he could be a model for Biden. Worth a quick history lesson.
nutshell is that both came after momentous presidents, both are under-estimated, both need to create a new world order after giant disasters.
Truman brought in great men and women to lead the US, and wasn't rigidly partisan unless he had to be. Biden seems to be following that path too.
Truman and Obama are my favorite presidents - I have high hopes for Joe.

Favorite over Lincoln and Washington? (scratching my head)
I didn't say Truman was the best president ever, I'm saying he is a favorite of mine.
Meaning I particularly admire what he did as president. He overcame a lot and had a major part in engineering the amazing success of 1945-2020 in the world. Always fun to cheer for an underdog too. And oh man was he an underdog. Ignored and mistreated by FDR, tossed into ending WW2 and creating a new political world.
A good description of his tenure is that he made a lot of small mistakes but got the big ones right.
