If Trump drops out the Lincoln project disappears, BLM and Obama dems start fighting, indies start moving back to the Repubs, suburban women start looking around again...
Plus, Rs need to see clearly that trumpism is a path to failure and loss. Mag@s need to see that so they don't go down that road again. Losing the WH, Senate and House because of trump would do that.
So hang in their, Spanky. You can do this.
I don't see Trump dropping out, but if he did it's hard to imagine the ensuing chaos in the Democratic party being worse and more damaging than the ensuing chaos in the GOP. If they go with Pence, he mostly saddled with the Trump legacy, a bad economy, and dealing (or not) with coronavirus. If it's someone else, then there's still the economy, the virus, and generating enthusiasm for a candidate that was picked by the party bosses.
I wonder what will happen if the "Russian bounty" story has legs.
What if these events occur?
1. It is verified that Russia did pay a bounty to kill US soldiers.
2. It is verified that Tiny was told about it months ago.
3. It is verified that the National Security Council met to present retaliation options to the president.
4. It is verified that Tiny decided to do nothing.
5. Someone from the NSC publicly testifies to congress about #1 thru #4.
A couple of things are glaringly wrong with this post:
1. It doesn't show any evidence that Tiny has moved money for his "retirement".
-- there is $500 billion of relief money that the trump admin has hidden the distribution details from congress. no one knows where that money has gone.
2. The president can not fire the VP. Unless he dies, resigns, or is removed by congress, Pence will be our VP until January 20th.
-- a president can pick whoever they want as vp for november. pence is not locked in.
It just occurred to me that with the surge of coronavirus cases, hospitals are filling up in parts of Arizona and Texas. The same thing will happen soon in other states.
When that happens, hospitals have to switch to emergency protocols to decide who gets treatment and who does not. This is reportedly already happening in Arizona as hospitals have activated the "crisis standard of care".
In short, Tiny's mismanagement of coronavirus has created death panels.
I already apologized as I misunderstood the post concerning #2.
However, concerning #1, nobody has show evidence that Tiny has moved money for his "retirement". Until evidence is shown, that "retirement" story is completely bogus.

He and his minions (GOP governors) have chosen $ over lives, and the result is catastrophic loss of both... thousands of lives unnecessarily lost is 100% on them and they will be judged in Nov. Unfortunately the only price they pay is loss of their jobs, but I think they should pay much more for their reckless negligence.

3. It is verified that the National Security Council met to present retaliation options to the president. Whoever at the NSC is a lying Hillary supporter
4. It is verified that Tiny decided to do nothing. Fake fake fake, I am the toughest ever on Russia
5. Someone from the NSC publicly testifies to congress about #1 thru #4. Hillary hacks trying to bring down your president

The best case scenario for the GOP other than trump winning is trump losing BADLY. That will give them cover to completely disown him and try to move on. If he loses by just a little bit and especially if they also lose the Senate it would spark a GOP civil war, not having a clear sense of where to take the party. I am sure many Rs are hoping for either a win or complete rejection of trump in Nov. Mitch and some of the other rich ones will continue not to care, but it will be a problem for the rest trying to carry the torch. Could you imagine the infighting between team tzee (Eric, Don Jr, Gaetz, etc..), team RINO and team Lincoln project?
And trump gets owned again by SCOTUS...

You're responsible for the material you retweet.
My guess all along has been that he saw the Trump2020 parade and didn't bother watching the entire video (his attention span would make a gnat proud) or the sound didn't come through
As far as any briefings that Russia was paying bounties to have American soldiers killed:
We've known for years that he does not read his security briefings. But he's still responsible for knowing the information he is given.
I think he needs things read out loud to him. It also helps if he is shown pictures.
He should either have responded to the report or be enraged at his staff that he wasn't briefed.
Either way it's a horrible look for him.

I also tend to think this is such a ridiculous idea, but it would work just fine in his favor if he went to Russia. Putin would treat him and family really well and would make a total mockery of the US by adopting a POTUS. Plus trump would profit bigly from the millions of mouth breathers who would continue to follow him and contribute financially to his cause. And in Russia, trump wouldn't have to worry about regulators coming after him for fraud and misappropriation. This would be a massive win for Putin.

I agree. For the Dems, the worst thing which could happen is Trump resigning. It would be better for the Dems if Biden were to drop dead the day prior to the election. He'd still win in a landslide.
A close loss might bring Trump back in 2024 although he may have deteriorated too much by that point. A pummeling will get rid of him.

No word from Susan Collins about Bart O' Kavanaugh's anti-women's rights vote on abortions. But when she stumped why she decided to vote to have Bart on the SCOTUS she said,
“Incredibly, they [pro-choice] even circulated buttons with the slogan ‘Stop Souter or women will die.’ Just two years later, Justice David Souter co-authored the Casey opinion reaffirming a woman’s right to choose. Suffice it to say, prominent advocacy organizations have been wrong.”
Well, Bart proved Susan's claim of how he would vote wrong. How about that?

It would also be the end of the Trump wing of the GOP.....which is good for the US.
