The other thing in Biden's favor is the consistency of the polling...it's the same thing every week, give or take a couple points. Biden up 5-8 points. HRC was more of an up and down pattern that just happened to go down on election day. There is nothing in the pattern of these polls that suggests trump could win another fluky election at the last minute. Seems like minds have been made up.
All I'm saying is, don't count your chickens before they hatch.
I'm with Racket on this one. I hope all Americans are very nervous about the results of November's election. I sure am.

With the PPP expiring in August, unemployment will likely spike quite a bit going into the election, and that's got to be a major negative for Trump - one that promises to play out painfully slowly.

This is right on the money! Super moron Sally went on and on about how the flu kills x number of people so we shouldn't be worried about COVID-19. Not only is that a stupid position to take for a variety of reasons, but now Sally says looters are such a horrible thing. Well, we still have COVID-19 killing people, and we have a systemic problem in this country where black people are treated like second-rate citizens, often leading to their deaths.
And, yes, Sally needs to stop berating his wife. What a lowlife loser.
Sally, go away.

Yes. That's what he was talking about. If you ever think even for a second that Trump said something helpful or correct in any way, I advise you to do some research, because he is always wrong and never helpful.

My take is that "Make America Great Again!" is not actually a Trumpette. I suspect that his/her posts are all mocking the absurdity of the Trumpettes' "thinking".
It is possible that I am wrong on this and that he/she really is a Trumpette but what he/she posts is so consistently over-the-top nuts that I'm guessing it is all parody.
Nope. That poster is Sally. Sally stopped posting under his own name because he got absolutely destroyed here for bragging about berating his wife. Rightly so as that was a despicable display on his part. Sally is a moron and holds moronic views. He knows he doesn't have any credibility left, so he made up the new moniker and tries to post his Trumper views without notice. He gets a little push back and then tries to make you think he's just a troll by posting something like he did regarding Jared and Ivanka. He did a little of that kind of thing posting as Sally. Sally is an idiot. He understands nothing. He treats his wife horribly and then brags about it online, and he's never right about anything. He's stupid, and his ideas are wacked out crazy.
Never really know where you sit politically, but either your dreams or fears are to be dismissed here. Polls are against Trump in MI, PA, OH, FL, VA, AZ, NV, NH, WI, MN and just recently NC. Mattis just rebuked him big time, religious leaders are beginning to chastise him. Fox News isn't the cheerleader it was. Hillary isn't the opponent. Trump has been impeached, and the economy is in the dumper. Even predictit has Biden winning. This is not 2016 all over again. Hillary was hated. Trump was given a chance as an outsider, and he has failed miserably. Biden will win and easily as long as he is breathing.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but this is basically a hot take from 2016 so I would be careful in assuming people are gonna turn against him for the millionth retarded thing he's said.
I know and remind myself all the time, but his margins were so small last time and he's alienated so many that were willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. And i think there are just a good number who are sick of all the adversity and turmoil, and just want a change. Honestly think it won't even be close. The economic downturn was his only hope and that is abysmal and still will be by November, if not worse.
It will not be close. Biden is destroying Trump in swing states, and he has an outside shot of winning Texas. There are hardly any people in the whole country who didn't vote for him last time who have thought, "you know, Trump has done a pretty good job." The only person I can think of to do that is Glenn Beck, and he did it to save his stupid radio show and business. Some elected officials too for basically the same reason. Normal citizens have moved away from Trump. Biden wins if he is breathing.

Today is a great day for America and for Donald Trump's re-election chances. You Libs will never conceded anything but the Dow Jones is up 50% since the market lows, 2.5 million new jobs and everything else is looking up for Trump. Where is the talk of the pandemic? LOL>
Posting as yourself? How do you have the nerve? You are such a moron. The Pandemic is alive and well and talked about every night on the news. I'm sure you were too busy berating your wife to notice.
In the last week, religious leaders have chastised Trump. Mattis gave a very harsh rebuke. Murkowski is wondering aloud if she can support him, which really means she doesn't want to and just sent up a trial balloon. Steve King got destroyed. RCP has his approval now at 42.9%, and Biden is leading in every swing state. Biden has added NC to the list of states where he leads in the polls.
You bring nothing of interest or insight to the discussion here. Go away. Maybe get some marital counseling.
You are freakin' crazy. The economy was blasting on all cylinders when Obama left office, and Trump primed an already hot economy with a ridiculous tax deal for rich people. Trump knows the economy so well huh? He said he would get rid of the national debt in 8 years. He looked early on at the market increase and made a statement that that took a portion of the national debt away. He said this, “So you could say, in one sense, we’re really increasing values. And maybe in a sense we’re reducing debt. But we’re very honored by it,” Trump said. Trump promised 6% GDP growth during the 2016 campaign. In his brain-addled dreams.
Who the F are you? You are a moron for sure.

6/5 stats
Tale of two places.
The US keeps improving, but other parts of the world have become much worse, making the global stats worsen.
This has been the pattern...China then W Europe then USA and now Brazil and Mexico. The hotspot is very bad and then moves on to the next.
For Americans, good news: The 7 day average of daily deaths declined again to new cyclical lows. 925 per day vs a high of 2189 per day in mid/late April.
The world had declined for a long time but now it seems to be heading back up. The rolling 7 day average of daily deaths around the world hit its worst number since around May 24.
Brazil and Mexico are the biggest problems - they are causing the world numbers to increase.
In the rankings Georgia actually moved one place to the better. After being 16th worst for a long time, now it is 17th worst. MN passed GA.
Brazil keeps ascending the tables...up to 20th from 28th three weeks ago.
Quote from the article:
“Come November, I expect Trump to lose the popular vote by up to 16 million ballots. Despite this, he will secure a second term if he wins just 270 of the 538 Electoral College votes. (In 2016, he won 304.) Suddenly, his approval rating of 43 per cent doesn't seem quite so fatal.”
Worth reading the whole thing. Can anyone explain why this take is wrong?

The math has to work out in his favor in all the right states for him to lose that many more general votes and still win. I’m sure his campaign is taking this into account but I think they absolutely are relying on red states staying red and that is where they will have a few surprises.

state borders are not that firm.
States do move together in voting.
It would be unheard of for, say, CA to be 70% Biden and AZ to be 49% BIden. And that's what would have to happen for a big popular vote vs EC conflict.
Or VA 70% Biden and NC 49% Biden.
Voting just doesn't work like that. States are correlated.
That said, it would be pretty simple and good for Trump to lose PA and WI but hold MI and his other states. That would be a win.
It's difficult for me to see how any Democrat over the age of 22 or so thinks any election these days is a lock-in. By 2004 it was already obvious that the Bush administration had lied to the entire world and that we were going into another never ending Vietnam type situation. Bush still won though because, you know, easier to have a beer with him than John Kerry.
