Even if Trump didn't specifically say so, him pressing so hard for them to go after Biden would have given a strong impression that the military aid was in jeopardy. Regardless, him asking for a foreign leader to go after a political opponent justifies an impeachment. Unfortunately, the administration will stone wall, Republican Senators will ignore it and the story will run it's course like all the others have.
I agree with you in the part up to the last sentence. I know that I err on the side of expecting justice to prevail, but at a minimum I believe this is a bridge too far at least for House Democrats. They will be forced to impeach him, and then any who obstructed are in the cross hairs also.
