1) Good that you are not arguing that Trump's policies are good.
2) I'm going to continue to disagree with you on Trump regarding policies. "Policies" are many things...actual White House Policy, any Executive Orders he has signed (that's a lot), statements he makes on Twitter that Sean Spicer said were official WH statements, people he puts in place in cabinet positions and other high positions that shape US policy and tone (see Betsy DeVos and Stephen Miller, etc.), positions he takes on events around the world. Things he says to and about North Korea is more than just rhetoric. He has given legitimacy to that murderous dictator with no concessions on Kim Jong-un's part. THAT is bad policy. Taking the word of Putin over our own intelligence agencies is bad policy. WAY different than Hillary Clinton would have been.
3) That tax cut was inappropriate and at an inappropriate time. We were already in a booming economy, and companies were already making money hand over fist. Just NOT needed. As much as I didn't like George W. Bush (he was GREAT compared to Trump), HIS tax cuts were beneficial and needed. Hillary would NOT have done what Trump did. When there is a tax cut or a tax increase, we need to look at who benefits the most. Most people don't notice government tax changes as much as they would a rise in gas prices. BUT, tax cuts set policy. When they favor the wealthy, it tells most Americans that the party who did that doesn't give a crap about you. The biggest problem with the tax cuts is that Republicans flat out lied to low-income people about them.
4) Trump is a showman and a conman...your own words of which I agree. Hillary Clinton is neither of those things. This is a big problem for us not only internally but also internationally. Hillary Clinton is a brilliant person. Barack Obama is a brilliant person. Donald Trump is an idiot and raving lunatic. The image of our nation abroad is greatly affected by the image of our President. Currently the rest of the world believes Americans are slack-jawed racist idiots. This view damages our position in the world. We have a fool as a President, and everyone knows we voted for that fool.
5) It is debatable that Trump is even a billionaire. He says he has $10 billion+. Other estimates are closer to $3 billion, and now some are speculating it could be less than a billion. He has always bragged about being the "king of debt". With no US banks willing to give him a loan and him still wanting loans (see crooked Deutsche Bank) and all accounts are that he's leveraged to the teeth, it is very possible that his net worth is less than a billion dollars.
6) With the way our system of government is set up (not just separation of powers, but the way the House and the Senate can introduce or not, inquires or votes), it is actually pretty hard for a President to establish major changes via the normal processes. Because of this, we can't ONLY look at what things a President accomplished but what he/she TRIED to accomplish. Trump has made comments that threaten the First Amendment. He takes the word of foreign enemy powers over our own intelligence agencies. He has been horrible for the environment. He believes the role of the Attorney General is to serve him, not the country. His non-adherence to established norms, his serial lying, his criminality, his positions on just about everything from dealing with the hurricane damage in Puerto Rico to putting kids in cages to lessening the tax burden on wealthy people to doing everything he can to keep brown people out even though illegal makes him a real threat to our democracy and VERY different from what we would have had with Hillary Clinton.
Do I still own my house? Yes. Have I continued to see my retirement earnings gain (not a benefit the little guy sees that Trump is suppose to champion)? Yes. Am I about in the same place financially and socially that I would have been in if Hillary Clinton were President? Yes. Judging a President should be just based on things that directly and immediately affect you. Protecting the environment is a continual and long-term process. Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with countries that are worthy of our respect is a continual and long-term process.
Trump hasn't done one thing that has intentionally benefited the United States. An unintended benefit is that due to his misogyny and sexual harassment/assault and other things that women find objectionable, more women are voting and plan to vote in 2020 than ever before and more women have decided to seek political positions of power. That's a good thing and could perhaps be the ONLY good thing that comes out of his Presidency.
Way different than Hillary Clinton would have been. WAY different.
