Is this true, Flagpole?
Here is the actual act by Congress.

I hope Biden doesn't run. I like him, but his time has passed.
Beto could make a run, especially if it's against Trump because Trump ruins the "little to no experience" argument. Beto is also more of a centrist than many other Democrats, so this appeals to more independents.
Rightly or wrongly, Warren is sunk by the whole Native American thing. I hope she realizes this sooner rather than later.
I currently do not have a favorite.
Depending on how well funded she is, I think Gillibrand is going to be favored by more and more people in the coming months. I don't think she's particularly well known now.
She has some skeletons though with some past comments/positions.
I only will believe Flagpole wrote:
Currently, 702 miles of fencing separates the United States from Mexico, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
Is this true, Flagpole?[/quote]
The 702 miles is true. Mostly along the dreaded liberal states of California and New Mexico, and swing to blue Arizona. The largest missing piece of the 2000 border without any fencing, let alone a wall, is hard-red Texas. Yes, in Texas they DO NOT want fencing, or walls, on their privately owned land.

In other words...I made it all up.
In other words...you are to lazy to read about it yourself.
Pelosi said no, and she has the votes, you don’t.

You've come out against Gillibrand, Warren, and Harris. Misogynist much?

That's true. But in general, the idea that we need to take action on climate change is surging in the polls. It's a winning issue.

Their countryside is not at all like small town Hicksville. It is riddled with high-rise apartment buildings everywhere you go. You travel in the countryside here in the states and you see nothing but land for the most part.
You have no clue what the countryside in China means. There are NO high-rise apartment buildings everywhere. You travel in the countryside in CHINA and you see nothing but land for the most part.
Actually, "Not really" is right. China has some weird incentives to build high-rise apartments in the middle of nowhere. The countryside is littered with empty residential real estate.
Not a single peep out of Trumpers about this. I am not surprised.

Have you ever been to China? They have a population of close to 1.5 billion. Many are peasants who have little means of earning a decent living. You really think they need cheap labor from immigrants?
You have never been to China. You have never been anyway except you troll hole.
The person who loves hiring illegals, so he can pay they less, and become more billionaire-ish, is your orange god, Trump.
Trump employed enough undocumented immigrants to fill an entire town ... at just ONE of his golf courses!

Too bad it will always be tied back to this mostly idiotic New Green Deal by the opposition.
Campaigning on climate change is now a dead issue.

I personally know someone who is working illegally in China right now. So yes, it definitely happens.
No you don't. You look REALLY bad when you make up stuff like this.
I really do. He's teaching English to young children. Came in on a tourist visa, but already had a job lined up. Last I heard, he was trying to get a work visa. But right now he's working illegally.

Please provide proof that Trump hired these people.
So what you're saying is that what Obama, Schumer and Clinton voted for in 2006 was nothing like what Trump wants today? 702 miles of fencing does not equal "a big, beautiful concrete wall from sea to shining sea".
If Trump was reasonable, and a lot smarter than he actually is, he would have proposed fencing or a wall in limited areas, where the people who actually are familiar with the border issues say such a barrier would be useful. Additionally, he would have proposed additional manpower and technology improvements, again deployed where and how the people who actually know about this stuff say it would be useful. This would have been much harder for the Democrats to oppose, and it likely would have passed without the need for the shutdown.
But if Trump did that, he'd have to listen to Ann Coulter call him a wimp, and he's simply to weak to deal with that.

You cannot possible be so stupid.
Trump owns the company that hired the illegals. Trump paid the illegals. Trump hired the illegals. No questions asked.

Yup., _its_baddude has the burden of proof to prove that the pay to those illegals was not from one of Trump's companies.
Chinese are too smart to sell out to Russia, unlike trumpers.

NO, it is NOT a crisis. In 2019.
Were you and the GOP this adamant about a wall in 2002,03,04,05,06,07,08,09,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18? Because most those year the GOP had a majority in both houses and could of past legislation.
Is your position that we should be more like China?
What sect of society should we move to internment camps?
Should we ban religion altogether?
Chuck Schumer was adamant about a wall back then. He voted for a wall requiring many more millions than what Trump is requesting.
Barack Obama voted for the wall. Hillary Clinton voted for the wall. HALF OF THE SENATE DEMOCRATS VOTED FOR THE SECURE FENCE OF 2006. What happened? Oh, yeah - Trump won and now they all oppose it! What a shame.
1) Secure Fence Act was for a FENCE and other barriers, not a WALL.
2) Secure Fence Act was for 700 miles, not the entire border.
3) Secure Fence Act was passed in 2006. We are now 13 years beyond that and have advancements in technology that make a fence OR a wall less and less of a good option in comparison.
4) Trump initially wanted a WALL, a "concrete and rebar" "big beautiful" wall that spanned the entire southern border.
5) Trump said Mexico would pay for it.
6) Trump has reversed his position to get closer to what Democrats have been for in the past showing that he's a big weenie and can't stand his ground on issues he believes are important.
7) Trump used The Wall as a bargaining chip and shut down the government over it. Can't do that. You don't reward children for bad behavior, and you don't do it with an Orange President Child either. Trump ensured he won't get his stupid wall with that stunt. That's what you get for wanting someone who has no experience in politics, couldn't negotiate himself out of a wet paper bag, is a narcissist, and who incorrectly thinks he's smarter than everyone else.
Vote for a better person to be President next time. You've been had.
