the Fox Wall is cracking. Huckabee Sanders was called out on fox for her lies (finally), and now Napolitano and Shep have said yeah there was collusion between the trump campaign and Russia.
Going to be a rough year for old spanks.

I think it's not about funding a wall at all. It's a ruse to prevent investigations from starting.
I predicted lots of cry-baby efforts once we got close to January 3rd. He thinks he can de-fund all the investigations that are about to make his worst nightmares come true. He will do anything to deflect and interfere until the end comes.
I want my government back!
I said something similar to that.
Would the House take an impeachment vote before the government reopens?
And if not, would that be enough of a reason for Trump to not sign off on any deal?
this and then some:
>they are testing the limits of executive power and the wall is a resonating subject on which to do that
>it's not 3-d chess, it's a test of will and the laws of the land and the stakes are high
>if trump folds he loses his base, and if that happens he'll lose enough support in congress that impeachment in the house (if the crimes and misdemeanors are high enough to meet impeachment standards) and conviction in the senate
>if the dems fold it's a big win for trump and he'll use shut downs again and again to get his way on any matter at any time
>it also gives precedence for maybe excising entire agencies and programs in the government. don't like regulation or program, refuse to sign any bill that funds the agency and shut the entire government until the dems cave again.
>if he declares national emergency, then what's to stop him from doing it again and again whenever he doesn't like something. including freedoms and elections, freezing assets of non-supporters, martial law, and we might as well be in russia. hail trump! that'll make a lot of you so happy.
so indeed hold on, we are in for some major political fireworks over the next weeks an months. this is just the beginning.

That is the answer to the question of why don't the Democrats simply sign off on the $5B for Trump's wall to reopen the government.

Precedent for any Prez and not just the current one no matter the party.
Question I have is, why didn't the Republicans get the wall funded while they had control of the House, Senate and WH? They had two years to do so and as soon as they lose one piece all of the sudden it's the issue.
Democrats are disgusting pieces of trash who hate Christians.
Funny! “Zoos work because they have walls...”
And the punchline is?
I’m going with, “...which is why we hate letting in the press for those White House briefings!”

Even for the most blinkered Trumpsters this is damning.
So easily played by a billionaire con man.
Oh, oh!!!
A BIGLY disaster has occurred!
Trump's wall is easily defeated!

Which is why Chief Zookeeper Putin loves hosting his fave pet Donny at the high-walled Kremlin.
Walls work along the Mississippi, except when it rains...
Before Trumpers scream, MAKE IT OUT OF CONCRETE, take a close look. The concrete poured inside the steel was easily cut through as well.

Ana Navarro (the subject of your link filing her nails) is a Republican. She worked for and then campaigned for Jeb Bush.
(Mueller is also a Republican)

To be fair, they didn't have the 60 senate votes required to pass a budget for that.
Trump ramped this up in the last weeks of the Republican controlled House and made them pass a bill with a wall to put it to the Senate and blame Senate Democrats.
But really he is excited about blaming Pelosi now that she has power.
And more importantly, this distracts from the investigation into him as the pieces are coming together.
Trump says 'if there's a concrete wall in front of you, go through it, go under it, go around it',
“Firewalls” between banks’ investments & those of their clients worked well (to cause a worldwide recession).

From the link above. ... All of Trump's prototypes were defeated. The Trump Administration classified photos of the defeats as state secrets, and squashed any discussion about their failure.
What do the Trumpers have to say about this interesting finding? Trump absolutely knows his walls will not work--steel slates or solid concrete. Yet, he screams that they will work forever. And his base applauds.
However, testing by DHS in late 2017 showed all eight prototypes, including the steel slats, were vulnerable to breaching, according to an internal February 2018 U.S. Customs and Border Protection report.
Photos of the breaches were not included in a redacted version of the CBP report, which was first obtained in a Freedom of Information Act Request by San Diego public broadcaster KPBS.
Then there’s China’s Great Wall: killed a million workers; didn’t stop repeated invasions; and its entire purpose is still debated. Successful (at tremendous cost) as a work of art.
I think this is extremely significant. Pictures are very powerful in shaping public opinion.
Throw in the fact that these pictures were possibly suppressed and you have something that could move the debate strongly in favor of the Democrats. If the Dems in the House are smart, they will immediately subpoena these photos and the full report. Then they release that to the public.
If someone can haul enough opoids over the boarder to cause the US opoid crisis, they must have some really great backpacks. They would have to be big enough to carry a lot of weight in drugs, be waterproof, and be mobile enough to allow them to ford rivers and tunnels.
These companies need to start marketing this!
