1) Yes, I realize all politicians lie. I have answered this many times. No lying is excusable, but you also have to look at degree. Trump is closing in on 4000 lies since he took office less than a year and half ago. Obama had 18 confirmed lies in 8 years. There just isn't any comparison. ALSO, just because all politicians lie, that DOES NOT excuse Trump from doing it. He is the President, and the spotlight is on him...the intensity of the spotlight is because of HIS behavior.
2) Yes Russia has tried to do this kind of thing before. So? They were more successful this time (Trump Tower meeting at a minimum), and Trump campaign staff WERE involved...we just don't know how many yet and if Trump himself knew about it.
3) Not illegal to "corrupt" with a foreign adversary? Um...depends on what you mean by "corrupt". Do you mean "collude"? Collusion isn't illegal except in certain price fixing events, but that's just a legal definition. What WILL be the case here with regard to the collusion is CONSPIRACY AND/OR BRIBERY, and those things absolutely ARE illegal in this context. Also, money is not the criteria, it is a "thing of value". Information is a thing of value.
4) NOT a witch hunt no matter how you look at it. High up members of Trump's staff have been indicted or pleaded guilty, most of whom are cooperating with Mueller (all but Manafort so far). 25 Russians and 3 Russian companies have been indicted. The purpose of the investigation was not to find Trump guilty but to see who was guilty of interfering in our election and IF any Americans were involved. Based on the mission, this is an outrageously successful investigation moving at warp speed.
5) Also, it's NOT just Russia doing what it has previously done. Trump won't accept the findings of all of our intelligence agencies. He's "going to ask Putin if he interfered" when they meet this next time. That is NOT what should happen. If he had any balls and any leverage (he has neither), he would TELL Putin that we know what he has done and that he had better not do it again, and then some well-thought-out and discussed with staff sanctions and other punishments would be the consequence. BUT, Trump isn't capable of that for one thing, and he has no interest in punishing Russia.
6) Patience is necessary for justice. No need to hurry Mueller up, and as Rosenstein said, NO ONE will make them finish before they are ready. They get to determine how long this takes. They are still investigating...they don't need to present what they have until they are ready.
7) They have already told Trump he is a SUBJECT of the investigation (and that's not good...you don't want the FBI telling you that you are a subject of an investigation), not a TARGET. It is extremely common in these types of complex conspiracy-type investigations for someone to be a subject for a long time before becoming a target right at the end.
8) Trump being briefed ahead of time on the new 12 Russian indictments doesn't say a thing about whether he is being investigated. You are way too hopeful.
This will not end well for Trump.
Mueller is coming.
The clown is done.
