CNN article:
Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein publicly discussed the issue earlier this month at an event held by the Freedom Forum Institute. He was asked if a sitting president can be indicted.
"I'm not going to answer this in the context of any current matters, so you shouldn't draw any inference about it," Rosenstein said. "But the Department of Justice has in the past, when the issue arose, has opined that a sitting President cannot be indicted. There's been a lot of speculation in the media about this, I just don't have anything more to say about it." Rosenstein oversees the special counsel probe.
The first sentence is key.
Funny how far the goalposts have shifted since early 2017. From no involvement with Russians to a sitting president cannot be indicted AND there is nothing illegal to colluding with the Russians.
AND, Kellyanne Conway said in a television interview (paraphrased), "There is no evidence of collusion that affected the outcome of the election". Ha! THAT is not the test. There doesn't have to be proof that the collusion affected the outcome of the election, only that it occurred! She KNOWS there was collusion and that's why she said it that way. From her it used to be "no collusion, no collusion".
Pence is working behind the scenes to gain some support so that he can be an effective President.
They know Trump is going down.
Mueller is coming.
The clown is done.
