A kid at my old high school ran 8:16 for 3k recently and he is only 16. I thought that was good.

Well, he just won Euro Jr's as a 16yo, so I would say that he's moving in the right direction...!

Too much, too early perhaps?
If you look carefully at the picture, it looks as if he's giving you the middle finger..
Time will tell. He seems incredibly talented. I simply hope that he is not pushing too hard too soon. Anyway, we will see in the next 8 years.
Do they have him on the salbutamol yet?

Yes and vitamine c.
Yeah the long blond hair and stocky short build looks just like him!

those hashtags though hahaha
How long did he run at that pace for?
Is the camera shot blurry, or is he wearing special shoes.
Jimmy likes his shoes.
I think he's wearing lunaracers 4.

It's especially impressive running for someone who professes himself to be the "dab king."
Dab just doesn't mean what it did in my day :)
Wait until he gets a top coach, he will be better than his 2 brothers, I see maybe sub 3:30 for 1500 and sub 13 for 5000 in 4-5 years.

I have no idea who is coaching him but how can anyone complain about what he and his brothers have done? His oldest brother was 5th in the Olympics at age 21 and is the Norwegian national record holder at 1500 (3:31) and mile (3:50). The middle brother has run 3:32.
This guy has run a 4:00 equivalent (3:42) at age 15. And you are knocking the coaching? Are you CRAZY?
We are featuring this kid in the Week That Was that will come out tomorrow.
The only thing that strikes me as weird is that he's tweeting in English. I knwo 90% of Norwegians can speak it but do they normally tweet in it?
The GOP here would lose it if Americans are tweeting in Spanish in about 15 years.
The Ingebrigtsen brothers are coached by their father Gjert who is seen in the instagram post.
In Norway threshold means the speed where your lactate level in the blood is steady around 3 mmol/l

As mentioned above, his father coach him. Coached him since he was 10, is also coaching the sister which is now 12 I believe.
You're also probalby underestimating the middle brother. He was disqualified from the heats in Rio but was a clear top 5 in the candidate with how that race played out. Nothing less than Henriks race in London, probably with an even better shot.
Regarding not know who coaches him, its so damn strange you guys haven't had a profile on this kid yet. Had he been american..
He tweets in english prob to reach a broader audience. You wanna get track fans? Its not enough in Norway man, not unless you're winning international medals. Olympic medals. Btw,
