That's what I want to do and hopefully things will start to get back to normal. Before that one crazy night my life was going ok apart from doing dumb stuff when I was drinking. You should get a second chance after you have done your punishment. I don't care if people believe me but that's how it is.
Nothing too bad happened me when I was in jail but it still changed me. People don't realize that most people there weren't major criminals or anything mainly there for minor stuff like drugs, DUI, theft or violating probation or on warrants. There weer also illegals immigrants and a couple for child support. You didn't go to Tent City if you were a major criminal. I'd say that most people there were waiting on their court dates and hadn't even been sentenced.

As soon as drunk driving gets mentioned, every haughty d-bag who is lucky enough not to have been caught doing it is going to come on here and talk about how OP deserved worse for a crime that didn't hurt anybody, and that he is an unregenerate scumbag for doing it. Good thing we only apply the "potential for harm" principle to drunk driving, and aren't arresting these d-bags for murder because they have guns (and you know they all do.)

Never been in jail, but I do care how inmates are treated. I never understood how that tent city lunacy wasn't immediately ruled an 8th amendment violation.
