meb won a silver medal in the olympics, thats something pretty special for this country.
Do you think he should run every championship race? pan ams, indoor worlds, and any other that is out there?
I personally hate cross country, maybe so do they. why do you think they have to do it? By not taking it they are giving a chance to the younger guys to compete against the best in the world, which will help them develop.
Meb, broe BK, they have to pic their spots, they have raced the best and in many cases done well, now they have to focus on improving their positions not running every championship inorder to help "teammates" may very well have never spoken to before.
do you think they should sacrafice their chances at being the best possible to dot that?
- Meb's Silver Medal: I agree its special for the country & mostly him...because the marathon is a 1-on-1 game. Its the unwillingness to participate on a TEAM.. Cross-Country...that I take exception with - and many others. And No, I don't think he should run every championship race. I do think World XC TEAM should be one of his requirements though.
- Developing Young Guys: Personally, I don't think the World XC Championship is a developmental race. However, if you bothered to read my initial post, I do agree that if that's how we're going to treat the event then let's go all out.
- Meb/Broe: Hey, if your not into team sports then we'll never agree. I won't take this any farther.
