This young 3000m steepler from Kenya potential is so frightening. Over a decade ago I ranted about Kenenisa breaking Wr's, Tirunesh and Elvan would become 2nd and 3rd women under 10000m 30 min barrier, and now Celliphine. Yes she's run fast but how fast she can go is what many wont believe...Celliphine is once in a millineum athlete. By 17 shes won
STEEPLE
2015 2000m World Youth
2016 3000m World Jr
2016 Berlin Gp meet
and followed Ruth Chebet under 2:57 1km wr pace at Zurich. She rarely touches any barrier and routinely strutter steps. Never runs even spilts. With at pb of 9:24.73 st and only 4:12 1500m speed the sky is the limit for this young lady. Is she stays healthy, focused, and driven by career end she could run:
1500m.....3:58.5
3000m st.8:45.0
5000m.....sub 14 minutes
Okay let the you so crazy comments start but I truly see that kinda potential.
CELLIPHINE CHESPOL: her potential at 17 yrs old, greater than Kenenisa Bekele

She is truly 17. Her greatest attribute besides a raw talent is she's not afraid of any pace. In her World Jr win in the middle of 3000m steeple she RAN A SUB 2:25 800m (which is 8:15 3000m st pace).

Yeah, if you say so. -
dang. What an unfortunate surname. I scanned thread titles and CESSPOOL was what jumped out.

1500m 3:52 and first woman under 29:00 for 10000m if she dedicates herself for 2-3 yrs to 1500 and move up in distance each year or two after 1500m.

She's got 'em like Reynolds Wrap, she does!

Kenya has no teenagers.
Whenever a child gets to twelve years old, he/she automatically turns 21 a year later.
It is truly a wonder of the world. -

I've been following her career and I am very interested in her career.
....and she has a name that is not easy to pronounce: CELLIPHINE CHEPTEEK CHESPOL. -

Neither is Terry -
Grace Ping will crush her in a few years.
-
I hope Ping becames an international superstar but her crush Celliphine at any age, I dont think so..
-
The 17 yr old they was singing about in that video isn't the future mutli WR holder Celliphine.
-
She stated she plans on winning 2017 World Jr. X-Country Championships and started toward her goal with a convincing win in the 5th leg of Athletic Kenya X-Country. Celliphine easily won the 6km in 21:03.
