Watched the Indiana state high school meet online, for free, broadcast from the same course in Terre Haute. High quality production, video feed and commentary. Not sure who paid the bill, but was on the Indiana High School Athletic Association website. Helps promote our niche sport.
I am a cheapskate, but if I was confident of receiving the quality of production that has been achieved by our high school association, I would be willing to pay for a one off, but not $20 a month.
Not sure why the NCAA needs whatever $$ Flotrack ponied up to broadcast. Cannot imagine it was much.
Oh well. I hope there is a live thread here so I can keep up with the action.
xcrunner6 - "My problem with FloTrack is they act like it cost SO much money to do what they do."
Well then, WHY don't you please produce the same (or better) product at a cheaper price? If you can do it for less, you can eventually put them out of business. I would be the first of many to switch from FloTrack to XCRunner6Track! In the meantime, without much/any competition, Flo should charge the price that maximizes their total revenue.
NCAA xc used to be on nbc or abc. I watched it. It happened.
Maybe if Mike Jay was calling it for FloTrack I'd tune in. Not sure if he does announcing at NCAA's for XC. He's excellent at Drake Relays, Roy Griak, and many other huge meets.
As for the pay wall, NYT has a pay wall for their sub-standard media content and that's not working out so well!
I'm sorry but the NYT is one of the top 5 most read newspapers in the world. Almost 1.5 million digital subscribers.

You need to take a class on how debating works. He said the NYT was substandard, you said a lot of people read it. That's not a refutation of what he said. Try again.
I wasn't interested in his substandard argument.
He said it's not working out so well. That's clearly what I was refuting. You try again.
You miss the point. NCAA is a nearly BILLION dollar company who could easily put a camera on the gator leading the race and stream it for next to nothing. I don't need any commentating or splits or anything. Just show me the race.
Exactly. Why can't this happen again?
Signed up for the free trial and was charged the $149 immediately. Emailed them RIGHT away after I noticed this and they refused to refund me at first, saying I never signed up for a free trial. They were so rude, terrible customer service. After several back and forth emails finally got my money back, but not my respect. Also none of the videos even work. Tried watching the Shalane Driven series and would not playback. Flotrack sucks and is SO unbelievably pointless. Everything is subscription based. Stay away!!!

I followed up with them twice but they still haven't gotten back to me about a refund since Tuesday (thank God I was only charged $19.99 though). Did you just contact them through their
support@flocasts.tvemail or something else?
They recently received another round of funding....so there will be pressure to squeeze more money out of their existing verticals.
What could go wrong when venture capital comes into the mix...

Please tell me you are trolling? NYT sub-standard? It's one of the best newspapers in the world, if not the very best. If you think they're sub-standard, what do you consider quality outlets?

Any outlet that isn't blatantly bias.

That's called deflection, especially since you clearly realized I'd caught you out, so you tried to spin what you were arguing against after the fact to keep yourself from having been caught out, even though you were already caught out. Go for a run, you aren't good at this.

Call up your credit card company and dispute the charges. Most times they will try to mediate and having VISA or whoever pissed at you is not going to appeal to FloTrack.

Bias is a noun, not an adjective.
How is the NYT biased? Examples, please, not just same ill-formed platitudes such as "the MSM is biased toward the left".
The reporting is top notch. They are one of the few outlets left with bureaus around the world. Is their Op-Ed page somewhat liberal? Yes, but so what. Do you not trust WSJ reporting because their Op-Ed is extremely conservative?

Whose primary revenue is NOT T&F. It's one basketball game, the D1 finals.
Just so it's clear, BCS has all of the football championship/bowl revenue.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Collegiate_Athletic_AssociationSo, one basketball tournament and probably some football is paying every other sport's way.
Someone at the NCAA could not get a broadcast package together and flowtrack showed them the money. This is the new normal.

A noun is a word that identifies a person, animal, place, thing, or idea. In which I am identifying the NYT (the thing in this case), as being bias. So correct use of English, I do believe.
And no I do not trust the WSJ. I don't trust any new outlet which has these traits. They literally brainwash their audiences.
