I feel so lazy buying these costumes from the store… But they are so cheap now, and they don't look terrible…
Speaking of which: can we please just agree to celebrate Halloween on the last Friday of October?

I make everything from scratch. I order my scratch in bulk from Amazon and just keep a giant pile of scratch in the garage at all times. I love scratch.
What do you give Trick=or-Treaters when the knock?

Trick or treating became more widely practiced throughout the 20th century. In recent years many people have started to have issues with the "trick" bit. The original idea was that if you did not give a "treat" to the trick or treaters they would then play a "trick" on you. While egging house or car windows or papering someone's house or tree could be considered harmless fun, the increase of vandalism for the sake of the "trick" has caused trick or treating to actually be banned in some areas.
I did for our 11 month old.
It pretty cool.
We both work so we bought when the kids were young. As they got into elementary school, we had them help us make their costumes. When they hit middle school, they had to make their own costumes OR not go trick or treating. This got them both to give it up by high school.
My finest one ever was for my daughter. Velma from Scooby Doo was a big hit.
