get back on the roads. Be happy. The future is yours to choose what you want it to be.
You'll be a falsely happy masochist on the roads whose injuries never heal and will be limping the rest of your life after you turn 50.
You need to learn the importance of rest and recovery.
By the way the plantar fascia and all tendons and ligaments do not stretch. Muscles stretch. Learn something about the human body.
I'm 62 years old presently and just got back in from 5 miles, so maybe when I'm 80 I'll have problems. Guess we'll see. And by the way, there are numerous people that run with and through their injuries.

So, you're old, unwise and proudly willing to share all this knowledge and experience with us.
Thanks a lot.
Any time. That's your opinion btw. You're welcome.

I like facts. I don't like bad advices like "run through every injury and hope for the best".
My tendons do agree with me, but my muscles don't care much. Go figure.

I am a doctor and based on your description I can't even give you accurate advice based on your vague description.
Stop running immediately and go to your doctor. If it is indeed PFor an Achilles tendon issue you will need to rest it for one month for every week you ran with pain. There are no magic cures just time and stretching.
I am a doctor, an MD PhD. It is OK to run with PF and AT.
You claim you are a MD (which you clearly are not) you are giving advice to a teenager to run through the pain of PT or an Achilles issue? How many times have you been sued for malpractice Dr.?

What a waste.
It is definitely worth it to give it a couple of weeks of recovery. I am almost all healed up. I've been doing strengthening exercises and slowly trying to build back up. I just have to get in shape for a half marathon next month. :) I would much rather be a bit under trained than limping the entire race.
That's a good solution for you and makes sense. I would just like to say to some of the people on the thread that if you run for 40 or 50 years most of the time something is going to hurt, And if you take time off when you are older to heal and until nothing hurts, many people have a very hard time starting up again and when they do they are hurting again, so nothing was really gained. But everyone should do what is best for themselves.
I agree. Once you stop for too long it's hard to start back up again.
