So my running club (shut up) is in awe of a 22 year old guy who just ran a 3:27 marathon. The only person people respect more is the guy with high socks who cranks out ultras but can't break 44 in a 10K.
Rate these times LRC style, like I know you will - fast/legit, decent, laughable
The guy above
26 yo male, 2:54 marathon and former college runner
29 yo male, 3:45 marathon
25 yo female, 3:07 marathon and former college runner
40 yo male, 3:07 marathon
50 yo male, 3:45 marathon
28 yo male, 19:45 5k
36 yo female, 40:40 10K
34 yo female, 1:47 1/2 marathon
Why don't you go to a dungeons and dragons meetup and poke fun at all the nerds you find there? Basically the equivalent here. Yeah we know, mediocre college ladies can run faster. So there's some insular self affiliating jogger group in your town of Joe and jane schmoedunkle middle class working types and they band together. Big whoop.
emperor trollyan of the ancient troll orient once mused: am I a troller of judgers, or a judger of trolls?
I'm most impressed by the 25-year-old woman who runs 3:07 and was a former college runner. I don't know many former female collegiate runners who stay healthy enough to run marathons in decent times at 25.
Now that I think about it, the club probably is in awe of the 3:27 guy because he juggled three baseballs the entire way.

I juggled my two balls all the way to a sub 3 hour marathon.
Awesome.

I guess you're not Lance Armstrong.
You only have two?

So you know a lot of women in mid-30s who can run 40:40? Wow, that's impressive. Did they run in college?
