So? Irrelevant to this discussion. He switched countries once and never tried to switch back.

Why does anybody think Pappas or Torrence want to switch back to the US? Everything they've said in interviews seems like they want to continue this for the rest of their career.
Can someone head down to Malibu and over to Pepperdine and ask David Torrence whether or not he intends to cash up in any US Champs? Hurry before the 16th best 5k runner in the world leaves town on his Alpaca!
are you drunk??

David Torrence is longer a viable Torrence in the USA. Scott, his father, served in this land and this is this reason David also may claim Japanese citizenship. As it lies, Daveed has chosen his path and oath. He will never run for the US again.
Tantamount to traitor.
DIIIOOOOOCCKKKKK!

And he wasn't a Kenyan citizen in 2004, only an American one.
I wouldn't be upset if he were forced to stick with Kenya.

Now that they have made the decision to represent Greece and Peru will they remain true to those countries or will they manipulate the system and take US monies that are designated for US athletes?
Hopefully. They should not be welcomed by the fans if they try. They voted with their feet against the USA for their own personal gain so the USA should not support them.

Yeah! Let her keep on eatin' Greek yogurt, which isn't really Greek, but is made in Twin Falls, Idaho by a company owned by a Kurdish Turk that employs refugees from Sudan, Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, Pakistan, etc., who were resettled in Twin Falls through a State Dept./UN program, encouraged by the company owner, and who have created a crime wave.
Let him stake his new citizenship on a pan pipe flute and a chullo hat.
If I ate pizza, could I run for Italy?

At least Torrence is inspiring millions of Peruvian kids to run their dream.
Diego Estrada.
Do I have to spell it out? Mexican Olympian in 2012, back at US championships, and winning titles since then.
No issue in the rules, and certainly no huffing and puffing from letsrun.
They can compete as long as they remain citizens

Whattdyamean, "back" at US championships? He competed for Mexico at London 2012, although as it turned out he could have gone to the 2012 USA Trials as he became a citizen in late 2011.
After competing for Mexico in 2012, he was not eligib le to compete for the USA until May 2014. So there's no "back at US championships" or switching back issue with Estrada. This thread is (or was) about people switching back, not people simply switching.
Pappas and Torrance took the easy/back door into the Olympics and once Trump is president maybe he will kick them out for being traitors to the country that provided them an education and coaching that made them into good runners. Ungrateful cowards!
Non-USA that competed at US Olympic trials
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
