You guys know the ISP cheat the download tests, right?
Visit a download test and you get great numbers. The reality is most of you have 'burst' bandwidth that is very good with actual speeds severely capped.
Tested on terminal with:
wget -O -
https://raw.github.com/sivel/speedtest-cli/master/speedtest_cli.py
| python
download 0.92 mbs
upload: 0.00 mbs

Good test!
I think mine is slow wrote:
I am using speedtest.net to see where my internet stands. My provider says it is good but I can barely stream videos.
I am getting 7 MB/s download and 2 MB/s upload.
Is that good or bad?
Your speed is perfectly adequate unless you are into lots of HD video uploading, like homemade porn. Youse guys should get over your obsession with numbers. The reality of the Internet is that delays are usually involved with host server traffic on the other end, or number-crunching that must occur. Just enjoy it while it last. Hillary would heavily regulate the Net and/or shut it down. She's said it before.

Oh, yes. While the U.S. lags behind most developed nations in terms of KBs/$ and delivering KBs. Yeah, GWB got right on that..
I'm in ATT U-verse (Internet only) and get 30Mbps down and 5Mbps Up. Wireless or wired, makes no difference. That's, coincidentally, the speed I pay for.
Perfectly fine for Zoom meetings, streaming movies etc. It's just the wife and I but if we a couple few kids doing their class days over Zoom I'd have to spring for more.
My internet speed is even less... It's just awful! The normal speed is 50-55 MB/s download and 37-42 MB/s upload. What can I say more...
419.2mbps down (speedtest.net) WiFi at the house bro
^xfinity not great but doin best I can in the area bro
1 Gb down/up here.
You guys suck,
299 DL / 14 UL
120 baud, full duplex

Or maximum speeds that aren't consistent because the network constantly gets congested.
But 7 MB/s or even mbs is still enough to stream a video.
OP should worry more about latency, that's what tells you if your connection is smooth.
