The original was fantastic, especially if you were under the impression that it was real. Prior to the release there was a documentary released on, I believe, the history channel. It gave the impression that the upcoming movie was actual footage of real events. So I saw it when it opened (limited release if I remember correctly) and I think that everyone in the theater was under the impression that the movie was a true story. When the movie finished and the credits came on, there was absolute silence in the theater. It was pretty awesome. Of course it soon came out that this was a fictional movie.
