Wow. 3:57.49 National record for Muir.
She just crushed it the final lap keeping the pressure on Hassan.
Great, great run.

Usain Bolt 19:37. Didn't see that coming.
Damn. Seems there should be some sort of rule in place that would automatically invite current World Record holders to compete at the Olympics.

Ah Muir finally slimmed down. No wonder she's flying. She used to run 4 flat while overweight (for an elite athlete).
The sport doesn't gain anything by not having Harrison at the Olympics.
Gotta figure this race should give us a pretty clear pic. of where exactly Bolt is for 200M

A performance of sheer mental fortitude to commit to doing something beyond the current expectations. Muir's been on a path to this level, but it's no less stunning to see her utterly slam the last 500m with the stare of someone ready to battle to the death. She was fully engaged for that final lap, something reminiscent of Solinsky's 26:59 - audacious to watch him execute those final 800m.
Ugh, false start. Lane 1 caught a flyer
Muir looked great. Really hope this was not her peak for the year.
Bolt's official winning time 19.89-there's still hope for the Americans after this "exhibition" run by him.
Bolt can barely run and has a hamstring strain, he goes to Germany, magically comes back two weeks later and runs 19.89.
And, he'll be running 19.1-19.4 in a few more weeks because it's an Olympic year without breaking a sweat.
We've seen this dog and pony show before.

She didn't fall down.
Re: Bolt's performance-there's also the preliminary rounds he will have to manage like he's done in the past....he's a bit older now.

First time I've noticed her in a race.
I love how she immediately clamps on the pace and goes for it, not waiting for any one.
Re Bolt: Just saw the tape-he looked like he hasn't "tapered down training" down yet...not as smooth in pulling away as in the past.
