If a girl legitimately cares about your PRs the best thing you can do is try to set a new one while you're running in the opposite direction.

An buddy of mine started dating a girl about two months ago. They met online and connected because they both run. She is pretty attractive in like a casual fit runner girl (Solid body, she wears matching running outfits, PRs are meh).
So, I was recently out with my buddy, this girl and some friends. I was talking running with her and she started bragging about how fast my buddy is. Long story short, I found out that he had been lying to her about his PRs. And not just lying, he said his PRs are even faster than mine!
Should I expose him for the liar that he is? This girl is kind of hot and if she is attracted to runners, maybe I can score with my PRs?
My 5k PR : 15:53.XX
Buddy's actual 5k PR : 19:XX
He told her he was in the low 15's
Everyone at this forum has already tried that with me.
It did not work.
I am going out with a football player who has $120 million in his checking account.
I guess this must bring back memories of high school, college and the rest of your life for all of you…runners.
Oh well.

Well rjm33, we all knew that getting a big fat one brutally shoved up your butt is your dream.
No.
It is your dream metric miler.
(It is also the dream of rekrunner.)
Pics?
Jamin should try this. Maybe if he tood more people he ran 359 he'd get a girlfriend and go away.

Good to see you out and about Fake Laz.
Been around XC teams a long time and seen a lot of relationships arise. Not that I pay that close attention, but there doesn't seem to be a correlation between PRs and probability of a relationship. Latest relationship was between the best female runner and our 5th guy. Both good kids - but maybe she just didn't want anyone stealing her limelight???!

NO.

ahhh...Why limit ourselves?
I know a lot of stupid guys and rotten girls.
If she were a real elite / competitive type she'd probably out him after a couple of workouts.
Those are the only runner chicks worth it.
What about a coach embellishing PRs to get accolades from athletes and parents?
HS coach (still active) claims 2:23, 30:xx, and 14:20s PRs from the 70s-80s for marathon, 10K, and 5K, but I've only found 2:40s, 33s, and 16s. Went to his college website and this coach was nowhere on the all-time list.
You have won this thread ^
She isn't a real runner if she hasn't stalked his times 100 times over.

A fast PR doesn't matter to women. A slower pr in the bed is what really matters.
The whole premise is just so sad.
expose that b1tch.a 19:x 5k for a 15:x 5k is like a jog, challenge him to a race in front of the girl

if he's lying to a girl to have sex, then what else is he lying about?
he's a scumbag, and i wouldn't trust him. you should tell the truth.
if a girl lied to you about being rich but just wanted to marry you for citizenship, would you want somebody to inform you of the truth?

First of all, I think this thread was started by a troll.
Nonetheless, I agree with Run Away. I've never met any woman who would even give a shit enough to ask about my PRs.
However, I was once at a friend's party and I was once talking to a set of pretty cute twins who were preparing to run their first marathon. I told them I had done a few. They then asked if I had broken four hours. I hesitated because I didn't want to see like I was bragging, and luckily my buddy swooped in told them my PR. They were pretty impressed. However, if he had said 3:30, 3 hours, or 2:30, it wouldn't have mattered. All that mattered was that I had broken the elusive 4-hour barrier and would have left Puffy in the dust! Needless to say, I did not get laid that night, or any, by either of those twins.
So yeah, women don't care about PRs. Anything sub-7 pace in any race would be "fast" to the average non-runner.
