0.16 is literally one TEN THOUSANDTH of the race time. (Less, actually. 27:20 = 1620s). Track measurements aren't even that accurate.
There is no good reason to keep Cheseret out that doesn't apply to Derrick. I dare you to name one.
Derrick has made 2 teams in this event. He's also a multiple time US champion in cross country. So I can easily understand why he gets the benefit of the doubt.
That's not a good policy though. We need to be encouraging younger athletes that haven't passed their prime that are on the bubble, not guys who ran well 4 or more years ago...
