Rhino horn powder
Ground tiger penis
If it's good for the bedroom, it's good for the track. It's expensive, but at least I know my money is going towards poaching rare animals.

I tried Melatonin when I was dealing with insomnia. A total Placebo, doesn't do crap. Maybe if you work graveyard shift but for people with sleeping issues it does nothing.
It was recommened to give to our 5 year old. Knocked the kid out. I sort of doubt the placebo was working since he had no clue what he was taking or why. But if you don't have a melatonin issue (i.e. there are a lot of causes of insomnia), then yeah it doesn't help.
That is the general trend for most supplements. They help if you have a deficiency but if you are getting nuitrients from your diet, they do nothing. The evidence for any of them leading to above average RBC or the like is very, very low.
Spirulina, chia seeds, acai, maca, ginger, turmeric, cacao, HEED, ground flax seeds, coconut powder, fish oil, sometimes a mushroom blend and apple cider vinegar.

Potato juice
I dont know why people just post stupid stuff. The thread was about legal supplements. Some posted a lot of illegal ones. The rest are good supplements for general health and recovery which helps with performance. But surprisingly Only 3 supplements are listed in this thread that are Stimulants. One being caffeine and the other 2 i wont say. I know of 3 other legal supplements not listed in this thread that will make you drop 30 sec. Per mile ASAP that I cant believe is not listed yet but maybe people use different things I guess. So stop all this stupid list that never ends. The only ones that matter are the ones that make you faster and legal. So EPO shouldnt be listed. List the herbs that do wonders and make you run like horse. Thanks guys.
Because I have been running like a DONKEY

Whoa, what have I been doing for the last 10 years?
Does this really improve performance whats your experience?
Multivitamin - Fills in the gaps from what I get from food, so it improves my health which improves my running.
Glucosamin/Chondroitin - An older runner friend told me he had taken these for years an been injury-free. He brought it up because I mentioned crepitis in my knees and occasionally my left knee would hurt. Since taking these, there has been less pain and less cracking in my knees.
L-Tyrosine - I heard about this on LetsRun as a mood booster/help with stress. It has personally worked for me, but there isn't a ton of scientific evidence that supports it.
Blood Booster (iron, B-12, folate, vitamin C) - Helps with my low iron/ferritin.
Ferrous Sulfate - Helps with my low iron/ferritin.
Protein - Aids in recovery.
The biggest "improvement" came from the iron supplements, however they still haven't brought me to normal levels for a runner in 3 years of taking them. My numbers have gone up, but slowly. The biggest boost came within a month or so of taking them. I'd been slogging around for years assuming I was always out of shape or that the fatigue I experienced was normal and I should suck it up. Then I got a blood test and figured it out.
I use mitoXcell. It seems to help my running endurance.

I think being low in Magnesium can result in muscle cramps / strains... I'm not sure exactly, but the calf strains are gone.

Yeah, I'd like to know what these legal supplements are that can help you drop 30 sec/mile but have yet to be mentioned in this thread. If you "know" then please share! Otherwise shut up.
