Morgan Uceny Runs Her Fastest 1500 Since 2012 - 4:03.94 In Furman Elite Race
Report Thread

Apparently she fell, sat on the track crying, was lapped, then got up and came back to win.
-
GO. BIG. RED.
-
Nice running from a lot of the ladies. Pr's all around.
-
I really wish the best for her. Absolutely heartbreaking how 2011 and 2012 shook out. It's a testament to her immense resilience that she's still fighting to get back to that form after four years of problems.
-
Way to go, Morgan!
-
I agree. Hated when people called her falls her own fault, as if she was too dumb to avoid them or even tried to trip when she knew she wouldn't win. Just really bad luck. Truly a great athlete and a tough cookie. Hope she gives em hell at the Trials.
-
Heather Kampf in 3rd way more hittable. And hit the Olympic standard too.
-
I've always been a fan of Morgan's and find much to admire. I wish her the best.

I disagree. I think that Morgan is gorgeous. She would be my one choice of all distance. -
I agree! So happy to see this result for her.
-
Pulling for Morgan big time. She's as tough as they come.
She could have thrown in the towel a while ago but she keeps showing up and quietly doing all the work to get back on top. A comeback for her would be all time.
So much respect, Morgan. Keep at it! -
When I think of someone "as tough as they come", I think of someone who gets up when they fall down in a race, even if it means being last. A DNF without a broken bone or something torn is not tough. Crying on the track is the opposite of tough.
Still, I wish her the best. A great scenario would be for her to make the Olympic Final in the 800 and trip over Semeninya and Niyonballsa taking them both out to make it a fair race for the rest of the field.

Much tougher is Kelly Lundy. Especially at certain "bonus"pay rates.

Wait what Michael Atchoo -
Me too. Saw her out for a long Sunday on a trail near where I live, wished her good luck in 2016. She graciously replied thank you. Looks like some good luck, the result of talent and hard work is coming her way at the right time.
