See what happens when one City (Eugene) hosts a lot of major meets. Monopoly!
Do we know for sure any of them wanted in the meet?

Pre Classic is a joke - - you have Kenyans and Ethiopians ruling the mid distance roost and Americans running for the second tier spots. Not interested in hearing about Coburn's steeple AR either, she was never in the race when the Kenyans began to roll. This is only end of May - - wait til the summer when the real racing begins.
As you stated - "This is only end of May - - wait til the summer when the real racing begins." Do you honestly believe that we have just witnessed Coburn peak in May of an Olympic year? She too is going to "roll" this summer.
Who is in good enough form to warrant a start aside from Katie. 2nd tier group and not running well as all yet this outdoor season. Nothing to see here really.

...Except the usual embarrassing immature poor sport barracking from the douches of letsrun.com "Where Your Dreams Become Douches."
Pre is a meet to showcase INTERNATIONAL level athletes. Then you fill in with Nike athletes since Nike is footing the bill.
Which potential medalist was slighted?
To be fair, Monti does the same thing at his NYRR races. One year, you are his favorite, the next year he's got new favorites and no time for you. And its about favoritism and not ability...
His races are like house parties. He invites his friends only

He is a strange bird.
my bad. I guess the yellow and blue uniform is just generic Brooks athletes. Seems stupid of Brooks not to give the Beasts a cool uniform like most track clubs.
If Katie Mackey had been let in to compete, this thread would not exist, right?
Yeah the Brooks team isn't running so hot this year, but OTC is doing just as bad with the exception of a couple (Mead, Blankenship). Wheating and Mulder don't look good anymore.
What about Ahmed, he ran 13:01 Sat. He runs for Bowerman TC.
So this thread isn't about support shoes?
Riley masters 13:17? They let Mac fleet run an that guys a joke.

13:05 or Nike. Riley Masters is neither. The event is to show off Nike or the Worlds best.

well, symmonds and loxsom have only run 1:48 this year so it's not like they proved their worth. and yes i know that wheating ran 1:48 but he at least ran 3:38 last week.
as for their women, katie mackey could've been in the 1500 for sure with her 4:06. i can't speak for the other women of the beasts.
can anybody think of a beast other than Mackey who has run well outdoors?
What a dumb post.
Um, has Rupp run well outdoors this year? Has Centrowitz? They were entered. (Although they both did the expected "NOP scratch" that Rupp has patented at this point).
"Qualifying" with a season's best is not a real thing when you're talking about a WC silver medalist like Symmonds, who wins basically every USATF outdoor nationals he races (including the most recent).
Clown move by Nike, working to keep this a joke sport.
Centro and Rupp have individually accomplished ten times more than the entirety of Beasts outside of Symonds combined. Nick Symonds should get into anything he wants. The rest of the Beasts, have no business having starts at Pre with their current form and that includes Katie Mackey in the 1500 where every runner had a PB of 4:02 or faster.
A better question is what elite events are being held at the Brooks PR (high school) meet? I am sure the Beasts can get ready for that and make sure no big, bad Nike athletes run.
