I also ran a 1600 at 5:39 over a month ago i have definitely improved, and could prob run low 5:20s now. So what pace?

2:30-2:35 for the 800?
Was going to go for under 2:30 and mcmillan says i should be able to run 2:24 but that seems wayy too fast.

Well then, I recommend going out in 75 and seeing how you feel. Maybe you pick it up and kick well, showing that you can go out faster next time.

We need a better above-distance "data point". If your "low 5:20s" estimate is accurate, then you can run 2:24-2:29. If you are closer to the mid 5:30s, then I would agree with 2:30-2:35.
I have 4 1:05-1:07 girls on my team. One has a 5:18 1600 PR and can run 2:22-2:23. Another has a 5:37 PR and can run 2:30-2:31. The remaining 2 can't quite break 6 and can only manage 2:40-2:41 for the 800.
i'm at that 400 time
my 800 PR is 2:24
my 1600 PR is 5:17
go for 69-70 on the first lap then try to close under 75
ima try going 72 then 75 70 seems challenging atm
