When was your last sub 6 mile and in what context?
My last sub 6 was in a mile road race around 2004. I stopped doing workouts and races after that and haven't run under 6 since. In 2013 I went 6:02 on the track.

Five or six years ago on the high school track because I wanted to. Thought I was flying coming into the 400, and it was 80 low. Ended up running a 5:47 I think. Certainly not the 5-flat I was envisioning.
Mid-40s. Running maybe 5 miles a week at the time. A couple 100s on the grass.
i ran a 5k this weekend. 16:02 (just missed it). those were sub 6 miles. the last mile of every marathon I've run is usually my 26th sub 6:00 mile in a row for the day

This morning.
Jk hahaha I'm a 13 y.o. girl and my mile PR is 6:08
In the 80s I ran a half marathon under 6 minute per mile but it's amazing how things slip away. In the 90s I got under 6 I but I'm not sure exactly when the last time was. I did a BQ in 1992 and was still running some road races and got one then. In 1996 I either got under 6 or was really close.
The mods should change the title to "When was your last sub-4 mile?" so that everybody on lrc can answer.

This is a distance runner's board, so it would have to be your last sub 14 min 5K.
Sunday (last mile of 10 miler).
Age 42 (now 49). Haven't really been a runner since -- just a once in a while run. Issues with a torn meniscus and then chronic calf issues have sidelined me.
Ran 4:57 Thursday last week
On the short end of 50s here. Last fall in XC, a 5:44 in mile 5 of a race.
Last timed mile 5:10 at 55.
Saturday in a 3200
It's been about 10 years, but now at age 42 I've started working on a comeback and just incorporated one tempo run per week. My tempo pace started at 7:05 pace and is now down to about 6:30ish after a few weeks. So I think in another few weeks my tempo pace will be sub 6 or right around 6.
Last year at age 58, for first mile of a 5k.
Last week did 2 x 3 mile and some strides. 15:30, 15:15. Have another workout today so I'm likely to break 6 again!
My last sub 6 was done on a track.....I did a 5:52 in some of my speedwork.I am actually pleased with this because I was never better than a 5:33 miler in high school.I also did a 5:57 in my first mile on a flat 5K course. As I am 42 now, sub 6 is not easy, but it feels good.Having said this, I probably should try a mile at race pace this year since I have been focusing more on longer distances.Personally, I think anyone who runs a mile even sub 7 should be proud of themselves. At 6:30 or better, you're at least 60% of the fastest Kenyans:)

Oh and as for when? this was in 2015. I forgot to include that.
Thanksgiving 2015
Ran a 17 flat 5k.
Haven't raced or done a workout with reps at least a mile long since.
Racing a road mile this week so wish me luck. I'm hoping for sub 5.
Expect this will be a reality for everyone at some point....hoping to maintain sub 6....that USED to be regular training pace....sigh....
able to do my mile repeats at all sub 6, and that's about 5K pace now.
Age 49, now with a couple years back to running after a roughly 20 year hiatus. Hope to keep that going for at least a few years.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
