Anyone else run in or remember the Nike Marathon Racer that was white with a purple swoosh from the mid-1990s? I loved that shoe for everything from 5K to Marathon. It had a full length polyurethane midsole with a full length Air-Sole.
Presently I run in the Nike Streak, and I've been happy with that shoe, but I miss the Marathon Racer.
I believe you meant the "Nike Air Mariah" in which Bob Kempainen famously won and wore in the 96' trials while vomitting several times. Enjoyed them they were great for the roads the softness was too much though on the track. The following version in 1996-97 "Zoom Mariah" was definitely an uprade as it was a medium soft with a thin carbon rubber sole. Also to note about this era of racers and some trainers was the lasts they were stiched on the two mariah's with a high curve, almost banana shape if you had a high arch it was so fluid with your footstrike.
**Hey Nike please re- release the Zoom Mariah!
