the race recorded your very slow time (not the bandit's),
the photographer got your picture gallowalking (not the bandit's),
your name (not the bandit's name) is listed as the 25,462th finisher in the official results

It was my husband. He's still compensating. He also is the self appointed defender of all cheats. It's all he's got. He only works part time so it's nice he has this hobby.

It's bad enough that hobby joggers go to such lengths to appear as elite runners, but a person pretending to be a hobby jogger with such an elaborate ruse it just a new low.
There needs to be a new DSM entry for the mental illness for people who cheat at marathons (or the like) or pretend to accomplish things (like running marathons) to show off on social media. It's just such a crazy thing... well, it seems uniquely crazy but I suppose could be part of an existing mental disorder.
It all comes down to narcissism to varying degrees. For all of them... Rossi, Litton, Julie Miller (the Canadian triathlon person who "allegedly" cheated all the way to a world championship age group award.)
The last one on "marathon investigation" was particularly jacked up - faking running the entire Boston marathon. Wow. These cheat stories never cease to amaze.
