Hot off the press, Fernando Cabada ran a 13:53 5k at the Boston Invitational. That's pretty fast, I guess it's safe to say this boy is back!?!

I remember back when Ritz won the National Outdoors as a soph in 9:01, Cabada was also a sophomore or junior and was one of the only returners in the country to have a faster time for 2 miles that Fall.
I remember it because I bet someone that Ritz would not win Footlocker that year. Whoops.
man, i know this is a message board and whatever...but we're all in a sport that struggles to get positive feedback from the public as it is, and i gotta say, it really gets under my skin when somebody goes and does something amazing in our sport and all anybody can do is dig up crap from their past and try to bring em down. What cabada is doing is AMAZING, and nobody can take that away from him... Cabada, u got my respect man, as an athlete and as a person, congrats and KEEP IT UP! good luck the rest of this season!!!
did he do it wearing trainers?
Big team wins and fast times seem to follow coach Simmons wherever he goes.
Yea.. thanks DR, that is the truth all u guys know the fernando is right now the number one ranked guy and that\'s including Division1, and it was 13.54.1. SO all you people that dont have anything else to do but bring up the past just need to get a life. And AWESOME JOB FERNANDO
I agree with people above me, that`s great job. Congrats!!!
