I think he will break the top 10 in the 12k. a few years back todd williams got 9th and ritz if in top form will be 7th. that is my predictions. anyone else got a prediction?

16th
ritz will finish 32nd. His aggressive running will be his undoing. He'll try to run with the big guns and get dropped about half way around.
If we're thinking of the same year (1995) then I think Todd Willliams was actually 6th!
Ritz can really run some Cross, it is actually what he is really best at, even compared to his track achievements.
right now id put him right about where goucher was right out of college (give or take a bit) and he finished 11th or 12th so id say top 10 is reasonable if he runs a smart race
and has he ever not run a smart race?
DNS due to stress fracture.
In '95, Todd Williams was 9th (34:47) and Bob Kennedy was 14th (35:02) in the 12K. The winner ran 34:05. I remember reading an interview where Williams said he ran the first 400 in 58 seconds just to get in position.
I think he will be right there. I mean when has he ever had a bad race? pretty much never. Other then when he tries to run hurt. He is a smart racer.
Who exactly is a DNS? Not sure I understood that. Sorry.
"Did Not Start"
I know what a DNS is, who was he referring to?
yes.....9th.
i'm gonna be really nutty and say fifth or sixth.
id also say i see him winning a world cross someday... don't think he'll win an olympic title but really, cross country is what he is best at, he's strong as shit.

My bad!

Dathan does start race because he has stress fracture. That is WHAT he was refering to, not who.
When Williams finished in the top ten there was only one race. The true test is when it goes back to that format.
lick my balls.
Even with 2 races the WXC is deeper than when Williams was top ten. No discredit to him. He was a great athlete.
Somebody suggested that he would be 32nd....I think that Ritz could have a good day and get 32nd. When you examine the spread between 15th and 30th, you see that just a few steps can make a big difference.
If all goes perfectly for Ritz, I think he'll be in the teens...
