I'm watching the NCAA Women's Volleyball national semi-finals on ESPN2 right now and the Volleyball women put runner women to shame.

I was at the gym watching this on the treadmill. People walked by and looked at me like I was a perv. It's the only watchable women's sport, and not just for the bunhuggers.

you've heard of beach volleyball, right?
But seriously, it's funny that in every women's "sport", the shorts get smaller, and tighter, and they show more and more skin (e.g., women's track: they basically race in their bra and panties), and that's great, but yet they STILL cling to the ideas that
a) they are not doing to this to look as hot and sexy as possible (no, it's for comfort, lol), and..
b) that men should be criticized for "objectifying" women as sex-objects/hot bodies, and for focusing more on women's looks/bodies than their minds or achievements
if your sports uniform is as revealing, and body hugging as humanly possible, with just the right level of tease.....yes, people are gonna focus on that. And you know that they want that attention......but....somehow it's men's fault for "objectifying women." It's just so goddamned absurd.
YOU WANT THE ATTENTION....OWN IT.
Looks like Gilbert Arenas is posting here.
If ever a thread would make more sense with pics...
It's borderline soft porn and great um "material"
Mr. Arenas was right.
Everybody subconsciously knows that it's true but are afraid that they might be considered a bad person so they meekly keep their opinions to themselves.*
*full disclosure: I would never say it if I was a public figure. too scared. Mr. Arenas has a lot of guts.
Women wearing thongs to play sports? That is the kind of idea I can get behind.
This thread is worthless without pics.
I'm a big volleyball fan. I go to most of the home games at the local college. If I'm checking out their butts, then they're playing pretty bad volleyball. It's a great game to watch.

Ladies, care to comment on this?
Volleyball is exceptional in sports. Usually elites make good play look easy. I played volleyball casually, and could do absoutely anything I see elites do - it was a really easy game to make spectacular moves. Fantastic marketing of the beach sport includes the outfits (totally unecessary designs lol). The 'sport' itself is just an excuse.
Definitely Beach Volleyball. I wonder how those bottoms stay on, they can be so low in the front. Yowza.

Go play against some competitive volleyball players and see if your opinion changes.
this is how volleyball shorts should be:
Nope, the ladies of CrossFit have it!!!!

My high school basketball team was very good - 2nd best in Texas 6A. The volleyball team very good too. We smoked them 15-0 and 15-2 in what was the only volleyball match most of us had played.

So you're comparing athletic 16-17 year old boys to athletic 16-17 year old girls? A good high school boys team would have smoked you, as would a college team or pro.
