I hope he keeps some endurance in him. He was a mid 15:xx cross country guy in high school.

Watch any of his races earlier this year and it was clear that he was in 1:46 shape had he of jumped in to the right race. He was running 1:47 off a 53/54 first lap. Not hard to see him going 52/54 1:46 if he were in a race with some 1:45 guys towing him along.
Showing similar progression to the kid I coach.

16 - 2009 1:49.64
17 - 2010 1:47.56
18 - 2011 1:46.28

20 - 2013 1:45.44
21 - 2014 1:44.40 =NR

Why do we care? Because 4:07 would get him into the NCAA indoor finals many years. Plus it's December...if he's running 4:07 in December, as a freshman, leading the race the entire way with no one pushing him, what will he do in March? Many years 4:00-4:02 wins the NCAA indoor championships. He has a shot at being top 5 in the NCAA's as a true freshman. So anyway, that's why people "care."
The reason this guy is so exciting to watch is that he ran sub-47, 1:47, 4:07, and 15:25 in high school. He was never pushed in the 800, no one ever came within 2 seconds of him in any race, even at nationals. What would he have run in the 800 if pushed? We'll never know that, but we will get to see his true potential in college. I for one am really looking forward to following his progression.
Bump....

create a thread when the guy runs 1:46 low indoors
Just here to point out this retard.

Yeah, but Brazier didn't run 1:46 low so I guess it doesn't count for this guy.
How about now when he runs under 1:46? The guy is legit.
Great for Brazier, an old freshman who ran blazingly fast in a no-competition race at a pointless meet at a meaninglless time of the year. He's going to find that going through the rounds and racing guys around his ability is a differnet ball game in the championship, assuming he isn't burned out or injured. Not saying he isn't very talented, but he's not the defactor winner, and clayton murphy is a far superior racer
"defactor" is not a word ... try again.
Hey YAWN,
I just browsed through here because a friend was showing me this. Do you have any other things to do than subtlety trash a kid? Literally every time you fools have insulted him on here he does the opposite of the fate you hope for him.
If you want him to fail it may be better to not talk about him. I'm sure he doesn't read the pointless comments of you mongering idiots, but still it's the spirit and principle of it.

Brazier is younger than the average college freshman. He is still 18 for another few months.

Ok dude, I agree with what you are saying, but we didn't really need to see it nine times in a row.
