1350mph? No way. That's faster than a comet's velocity.

Again, the title is wrong. Both the article and the video reference Mach 4.5 (about 3500mph). With takeoff and the time to get to altitude, that's 3 hours not using the time zone difference
All I know is I don't take short flights (less than one hour) traveling west over a time zone. It's too close to time travel for my liking.

Yes Concorde really did go that fast. Some internet sources including wikipedia say it went mach 2.04 which they state as 1553mph, but that's wrong, the speed of sound is lower at altitude.
I'd say don't hold your breath, waiting for this one.
Anyway, time over the U.S. would slow things down a good bit--as someone pointed out above, supersonic flight is not (generally) allowed in U.S. airspace. OTOH a Great Circle route between LA and London would mean that something like 3/4 of the flight wouldn't be over the States, but rather Canada (and the Atlantic).

Flying west is the best. Flying east is a beast. Go west and you go with the flow of the Earth, and get younger in the process.

From a jetlag perspective, yes, flying west is best. But for short flights west, I don't like landing earlier than when I took off. It's like traveling back in time....I ain't getting on no time machine if I can help it. Too much can go wrong.
I prefer to fly east. I have serious problems going west. I fly from here (Indianoplace) to the west coast, and my normal 5 am wakeup becomes 2 am or something ridiculous. It's too close to adjust. When I fly east to Europe, I just stay awake for 24-36 hours then go to sleep at the local time of 9-10pm, rising at whatever time is approprite there (7-8 am local time). I never have to adjust.
But surely you have to adjust to the sight of all those bad teeth?

Ha! No, I'm normally in France where even the average women make the women around here look like total dogs. It's a feast for the eyes over there, gotta love it.
Goggles du vin? Post pics or I don't believe you.
Do the super-rich on Concorde-style jets need to go through TSA-style security?
The top political golfers are Republicans. Some, like retired John Boehner, love to spend most of their golf day at the 19th hole.
BTW: One of Obama's top playing partners was John Boehner.

Every thing you say is partisan crap. You are Howard Dean but at least he has a brain. Seriously, you contribute nothing here.
5590 land miles=4853 air miles. conversion is .868.
I love that this thing looks just like any other Airbus plane, with SMALLER engines and a swept wing. Same exact front end though.
Pretty sure you can't break the sound barrier over land in the US. Already cruising along xxxx speed not a problem.
What if you were in space?+

With respect, you were AT worlds, not IN worlds. :-)
