Renato, Jeptoo was a 2:18.xx marathoner, one of the top elites. Why did she
take EPO if it would have no effect?

Hey fred, you know you don't have to hit "enter" when you reach the end of a line, right? It will automatically jump to the next line.
Renato's post was very insightful - almost brilliant.
The doping issues are very different in the various countries. What is common I think is that in the past, before these scandals, people didn't view it as a big deal.
What I think the sport may finally be gaining is a 100% belief from everyone that DOPING IS UNACCEPTABLE. I've never bought the theory that some idiots on here seem to be espousing that all of kenya is dirty. It's a dumb and almost racist argument. It would be like saying all Americans are drity - including like Rupp, Derrick, True. How would three men from 3 different groups be dirty? If they are, then it's the result of 3 different individual actions.
What for the most part in Kenya has been happening is the b teamers have been busted - their Mo Trafeh's of the world.
The problem with Kenya is there is a Jeptoo and there is no credible anti-doping movement there. Canova makes a good point that it's incredibly expensive for a poor country like Kenya. But regardless, all of this controvesy in the long run may be good for the sport.I've always felt the sport will only get cleaned up when the athletes and perhaps sponsors just say, "We can't have this anymore." So the Kenyan stars are now demanding criminal prosecutions. Good for them.
Maybe Nike will finally see the light as they are common denominator in Russia and Kenya.
Thanks a lot automatic word wrapping. That
helped a lot. I'm looking forward
to the automatic line jumping. Whoops, it doesn't seem to be working.
Not a bit of this matters until they imprison rupp, sleazy, radcliffe, centro, rowbury, mo, hassay, knight.
I want to finish the explanation about what happened between NADO and the italian athletes.
All the facts belong to the period 2009-2012, when the system in Italy still used communication by fax or letters. The athletes had to communicate by email to NADO their whereabouts, and the updates in case of some change.
For about one year, there was a double system : the old one, and the introduction of a system like Adams (the same used by WADA).
During that period, the most part of athletes continued to use personal emails or faxes, while NADO worked for creating a new data processing.
Now, after 3 years, the Court of Bolzano had from NADO the list of athletes who didn't communicate the updates of their whereabouts in the new way,
but NADO is no longer able to show the emails and faxes received by the athletes, because, after changing system, they destroyed all the old documents.
How the triple jumper Greco explained, the rule and the procedure, in case of some delay in the communication of the whereabout, or the lack of some update, demands the duty for the Antidoping Agency (in this case NADO) to send, in a period of two weeks time, a "warning" to the defaulting athlete, asking for explanations. This fact never happened, and practically the most part of athletes included in the Italian whereabouts didn't know they were in a wrong position.
Among all the athletes in the list, we have somebody, like Donato and Greco, who in the same period were in the whereabouts of WADA, that never had something to say about their correct behavior.
I'm sure this is another pseudo-scandal growing because magistrates and officials of antidoping want to ride the horse having the best fashion at the moment, before finishing any investigation, considering ALL THE ASPECTS of the situation.
The same thing is about the situation in Kenya : great rumors, with a lot of individual specific situations becoming common situation for media and people not knowing in more deep way the reality.
In this situation, AK was of sure guilty, at first underrating the problem, then not explaining the truth, because they didn't know (and were not interested to know) what started to happen in some local competition.
If I have time, in the next days I want to come with some deep analysis about names and type of doping of the guilty Kenyans, showing how the situation is very much different from what media continue to write.

How about they imprison your sorry, moronic self for slander and libel
Italy has a long history of doping as well smart guy look at cycling and even tons of road racers busted by wada over the years. Even trail runs, look at Elisa desco, who clearly is living with a doper too who just wasn't caught but she was.
Ones judicial system, national ethics and penalties against doping mean jacks*** if the country doesn't take out of season testing seriously. Religious folks dope, every race dopes, men and women dope. Don't be dumb thinking any one is less likely to dope based on employment or external affiliations
who is she living with?
You applaud canova for stating obvious and continues to lie,
Physcotic mumblings of a great at work
Epo dont work here.
Fat is clue here. Why kenyan women 100* more likely test for epo.
No fat nowhere for epo to hide.
Out of system in hours
Super skiny rupp, farah wont worry that epo might be released from fat stores later on.
kenyans zero worry
renato=doping
the best part of Elisa Desco is that she served a 2 year ban for EPO and she manages to this day to be sponsored by Scott Sports whose slogan is "No Shortcuts." Why would they sponsor a niche mountain runner who is a convicted doper?
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
