When did this air?
Why does it say that he was a "beer-guzzling Joe, stuck in a job he hated and sick of the rat race." He worked for a health food company in California. He was already fit and very health conscious at the time he had his mid-life crisis. He just happened to be having a beer when he had his breakdown. It was also at a party celebrating his birthday. WTF?
How did his lactate go down? Is that even possible?
Waddle on.
He was most likely exercising below his maximal lactate steady state (MLSS). At this intensity lactate production does not exceed removal rates. Sometimes an initial rise in lactate from the onset of the exercise (oxygen deficit phase) may show a gradual decrease during the early stages of this intensity since the removal rate may be slightly exaggerated, especially with a solid training background. However, it would not continually decrease until reaching zero. Essentially the production and removal rates would pretty well balanced.
I missed Dean!!!!!
And how's Dane?
